I remember the days of making some good after-school snacks for my girls before they headed off to sports, piano, etc. Seems like it went by in a flash. They are 23 and 20 now. We are still blessed with them to be living at home, but the time is coming soon when they will be on their own. One just finished college and is starting her first "real job" in a couple of weeks. The other will finish school in a few years, too. Goes by quickly. God Bless 🥰

Find your joy where ever you can. A flower blooming, a child laughing, a meal with those you love. Joy is powerful, so it usually comes in small packages. My joy today, a puppy who wanted a belly rub, a delicious cup of coffee and a video from my friend in Japan. It is a good day. 💕

I made lemon poppyseed pancakes with a lemon juice/powdered sugar glaze instead of using the frosting. the lemon flavor really popped out with the glaze. Wish there was more taste in the pancakes. Might add more lemon juice next time. i really wish we had stores like where I live. I would LOVE to buy all those neat things.

Those ribs looks absoluteley amazing! I will try that marmalade trick for sure. I live in Sweden and here, the food prices have exploded the last year or so. It's about 20% more expensive now than before, and some people are really struggling to be able to buy (healthy and noutricious) food.

My husband would really enjoy the garlic Jo's. He loves garlic hahaha And I would love to go to that condiment store! So many interesting things! At my grocery shopping yeasterday I bought the first strawberries of teh season. They were so big and my daughter wants them. Hope they are sweet. But I don't eat them with a severe strawberry allergy😅It is common here to eat fresh strawberries slightly sqashed down with a fork on bread. No whipped cream on it, only perhaps some sugar. I love the bowl and weight/lid where you pickled the turnips in! Seeing you make spare ribs I should make it again. I have a stewed spare rib with negi but haven't made it in a long time. Usually we can only get marinated spareribs here and that is not good for my recipe.

Thank you for a great video again this week! Do you walk, ride a bike, take a bus, or drive to the supermarket? Your bag looks heavy! I find the price of groceries very interesting. Even in the USA, different regions price varies. I'm in Seattle, Washington State and find varied prices! AmazonFresh has large cage free eggs 1 dozen for $3.49. I shopped at Safeway in a nearby town two weeks ago and the store had NO eggs as the delivery truck had been interrupted!!!😮 I went to QFC grocery in Seattle, they had an abundance at slightly higher price. It can feel like a Scavenger/Treasure Hunt!

Hey Lina darling.....would you please consider adding the weight of the meats and fish along with the price? It was easy to see on the tofu (WOW so inexpensive compared to here in Australia) but on the meat it was difficult to tell and the weight helps put the cost into perspective. 'Y580 / 500g' would do! And 90K subs is fantastic! Looking forward to you hitting 100K and unboxing the beautiful plaque for us all to celebrate with you! Hugs from Oz!!

Saluti! (and thank-you Google translate)

Jennifer, The white bread in Japanese stores is larger bulk due to slicing. And all portions packaged are much smaller. I'm not used to a slice of bread as large, thickness and square. It looks great for grilling and sandwiches. You could actually cut a slit in a slice and make stuffed French toast! I have about three excellent Asian product based stores nearby, but I don't see that bread.
