We going to ignore the fact that they sped up the video of the chinese train? They are not both great bullet train systems Shinkansen has a perfect safety record for 60 years of service, getting on the train is barely different from hopping on a local commuter train or subway, and the speeds are much much higher. China has no record, as there's no official record keeping and we have proof of them literally burying trains with the bodies still inside to cover up accidents. The record we can put together is one of the worst in the world. Getting on the train takes several hours of getting to the station and waiting in lines, and then the trains themselves are overcrowded and overbooked. The speeds of China's railways are not officially posted, just a "trust me bro they're faster" though considering the video of their train is sped up... it's pretty safe to assume we know why they don't have a speed record.

Well, that's not necessarily the "old" bullet train. The N700S is pretty new. It's limited on the Tokaido and Sanyo line to 300km/h... The Tohoku line has the e6/e7 which are limited to 320km/h (although rated for operation at 360km/h)

How? Even though the second video is sped up, Chinese trains are still faster. The Chinese high speed network is also biggest, actually the biggest in the world. The Japanese lines are old and the curve a lot making them slower. What’s you point?

How about the video that a japanese bullet train pass by fast and also Japan has the fastest bullet train but I think u can ride it but it's expensive or not
