Japan's bullet trains have a lower maximum speed than China's high-speed trains. So why is this? Motor technology? Aerodynamic development technology? No, it is because the permitted noise limits in Japan and China are lower in Japan. In Japan, the bullet train runs through a small country like a needle through a hole in a needle, which makes it necessary to be considerate of the people living in the vicinity. But what about China? All it has to do is to lay the line in a straight line across a huge area of land. Moreover, in the dictatorship of President Xi Jinping, it is commonplace for him to "silently" ignore the cries of the people living nearby. Japan's Shinkansen trains would reach top speeds higher than China's high-speed trains if noise standards were not a concern (this is not wishful thinking, but has already been demonstrated by a number of test trains). Next, let's compare the two countries in terms of safety. Since the Shinkansen started service on 01 October 1964, there has not been a single fatal accident involving a Shinkansen train (excluding accidents with non-Shinkansen-related causes, such as personal injury). Furthermore, safety devices such as automatic train control systems have been installed since the start of operation. What about China's high-speed railways, by contrast? It is true that things have improved somewhat in recent years. This is an admitted fact. However, China's high-speed trains are operated by "barbaric" people, such as those who tried to cover up a derailment about 10 years ago by burying the derailed train in the ground (an incident that eventually came to light). It is hard to imagine which is safer. Furthermore, Japan's bullet trains are renowned for their punctuality. In Japan, natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons and linear precipitation zones occur much more frequently than the world average. Even taking into account delays caused by force majeure, the average delay on Shinkansen trains is only 18 seconds per year. It is a very backwards result that high-speed trains, which are designed to reach distant places in a shorter time, are delayed, resulting in longer arrival times... Furthermore, Indonesia chose China's high-speed railway because it was told by the CCP that it would be cheaper and quicker to build, but look at the current situation. Not only has it far exceeded the original budget, it has also exceeded the amount of money on the Japanese side. It would have been better if that had been all, but the current situation is that there are also significant delays in the construction period (as with the high-speed railway). The price paid for the higher cost and longer than expected period is a lower quality high-speed railway... It is tempting to feel sorry for Indonesia, but one can only assume that Indonesia must be "happy" because it chose the CPC. We can only surmise. With love to Japan... from a New Zealand citizen.

We going to ignore the fact that they sped up the video of the chinese train? They are not both great bullet train systems Shinkansen has a perfect safety record for 60 years of service, getting on the train is barely different from hopping on a local commuter train or subway, and the speeds are much much higher. China has no record, as there's no official record keeping and we have proof of them literally burying trains with the bodies still inside to cover up accidents. The record we can put together is one of the worst in the world. Getting on the train takes several hours of getting to the station and waiting in lines, and then the trains themselves are overcrowded and overbooked. The speeds of China's railways are not officially posted, just a "trust me bro they're faster" though considering the video of their train is sped up... it's pretty safe to assume we know why they don't have a speed record.
The thing about Japanese bullet train over any other country's high speed train is that they have awesome track record for being punctual and zero accidents, making it even safer than air travel. Also the second video is fast forwarded a little.

As someone who has traveled on China's high-speed rail, I know that the speed is real because China's non-stop high-speed trains travel at speeds of 300-350 kilometers without needing to slow down. Just imagine the feeling when a car disappears from your sight in an instant during a race-and cars have a maximum speed of only 300 kilometers. The high-speed rail here is much faster! Standing on the platform waiting for the train, I have witnessed this breathtaking speed firsthand, almost vanishing before your eyes in the blink of an eye. This is definitely real...I am not denying that Japan's high-speed rail also has such speeds, but the Japanese train in the video clearly slowed down while passing through the station, probably below 250 kilometers per hour, so it looks slower than normal.

@@widodoakrom3938 Japan's bullet trains have a lower maximum speed than China's high-speed trains. Even taking into account delays caused by force majeure, the average annual delay on Shinkansen trains is only 18 seconds. It would have been better if that had been all, but the current situation is that the construction period has also been significantly delayed (as with the high-speed railway). The price paid was a higher price and a longer than expected period of time, but what they got was a lower quality high-speed railway... It is tempting to feel sorry for Indonesia, but one can only assume that Indonesia must be "happy" because it chose the CPC. We can only surmise. With love to Japan... from a New Zealand citizen.

Prejudice is farther from truth than ignorance. How many positive reports about China are there in your Japan? Have you ever traveled or lived in China? Have you personally experienced the difference between Chinese and Japanese high-speed railways? I'm not saying that Chinese high-speed rail must be better than Japan's, but based on countless reports, such as those on KZbin, Chinese high-speed rail has the advantage of faster speed, smoother tracks, more stable operation, like the many reports where coins stand upright. Can Japan do that? Moreover, safety, punctuality, and comfort are not inferior to Japan's either... Speaking of safety issues - every Japanese person makes fun of this. Yes, China had a rear-end accident in 2011, resulting in 40 deaths. The direct cause was a signal failure due to lightning strike, but I have not seen any reports of death from accidents involving Chinese high-speed rail before or after that incident. If you have any, please provide them! It should be noted that the mileage scale of Chinese high-speed rail is 15 times that of Japan, which is self-evident for calculating safety factors... I won't ramble on anymore; it's a waste of time talking to you. That's all.

didn't you know Japan has new Shinkansen line? also if you said Japan was small country, you're wrong! because Japan itself has twice UK sizes! Total current high speed railway in Japan now were 5000km it will be expand to 8000km because there new line builded in near future. Alfa-X Shinkansen has 400km/h operational speed and maximum was 450km/h! I think Noise pollution not really serious problem there, because many Shinkansen line have 500 - 700 meter far from nearby population concentration! However Speed not really one concern things, if you see France TGV have operational speed only 300km/h meanwhile SK Hemu train have operational speed 370km/h in 160km line length also Netherlands LGV have 350km/h run in just only 60km line length! But Speed only as propaganda machine for CCP to boost Chinese Nationalism! Also if you see why CCP have significant pushing HSR construction till 70.000km, meanwhile Japan for next 15 years only will expand to 12.000km! let I answered your questions : Japan 🇯🇵 today try to boost their Aerospace Industry like how B-787 were Japanese-American project, but actually there 60% Japanese percentage on B-787 Aircraft, Mitsubishi also has buying Bombardier CRJ program to compete with Airbus A321! also most of Japanese automotive industry now has push produce flying car that have speed between 100-250km/h! so in near future 300km/h speed moving object will be owned by anyone, including Flying car owners... then higher speed train not really necessary for Japanese society. On other hand construction till now still 40% part of China GDP, no construction will caused collapse for economy!! then you can see why builded very longest train length necessary? because for construct every 10km in China will absorb 20k workers then how for 70.000km, may you can calculate it! not only HSR but property companies also become one important thing to boost construction sectors! you can see how Evergrande become so big that absorb 2millions workers at same time!! but you see what happened to them today!
Chinese just copied the Japanese train in the 1990's and rushed it. Don't forget the hundreds of dead Chinese killed in their highspeed train accidents covered up by their communist dictatorship.. Japanese Shinkansen has been running sincd 1964 with a super excellent safety record.
