@AdoraTsangWhy aren't there women judges?
@SpoiltLittlePrincess11 ай бұрын
Sexism, as the short answer. But for the long answer, women are expected to marry and have kids and then quit their jobs, so going for a long career like that is very gated. Because sexist old men are in high positions of power it's also very difficult for women to even get in initially. This is why the birth rate in Japan is tanking, as women are realising their worth and fighting for their independence. Having kids is very expensive, it takes away the joys they have in life and their financial security etc so they just aren't dating, marrying etc. @@Jinars.

because they're not using English. Until major multinational advertisers get mad at Japanese creators, they can put those words in the title and be subject to different rules than us. For some reason, we give Japan a magic pass for all sorts of things; there's this soft bigotry where Something is cooler and more acceptable if it's Something, Japan. People see strange cultural practices and criticize them but if it's the Japanese then they'll tell you to "leave them to their culture" lol. I've been noticing this trend as well. One Japanese KZbinr I used to watch knew about Western KZbin trends *and* Japanese KZbin trends (as he is biracial and bilingual), and for the last few years he has been ragging on the lateness of Japanese KZbinrs to hop onto awful trends; he also would complain about popular Japanese TikTokers being public nuisances (as that is incredibly taboo in Japan especially). Even the "apology" videos are just as bad. 😂 Thank you for talking about this. I don't think many people outside of Japan understand just how bad the "popular" side of Japanese KZbin is.

Japan is known to adopt things popular in the west a few years later. If you look at the music scene from the 1970s/1980s you will notice this trend. Some trends mix together with Japanese culture to create something more unique. If you look at Japan 20 or so years after WW2 you will notice they adopted some of the western cutting edge tech advancements of that period. The rebuilt cities felt futuristic for the time but also unique as they kept some of their own culture mixed in like with architecture. If anyone is curious about post WW2 Japan look up the video "A Day in TOKYO in 1968".

Agreed. The style may have changed a bit, but you still have quite a few number of people doing anything for cloud in this prankish style, like those two clowns who went and punched a random guy on the street not so long ago, or that one who was insulting and berating someone who in return shot him, or the girls going to random men asking them how they would rate them and if they have a girlfriend and whatnot. Again, slightly different style, but it reeks disgustingly similar.

its weird how japan can come up with new internet trend like vtubers, but then theres also this part of japan, honestly the best youtube content in japan now is the streaming content, especially big collab events like vcr gta

u cant tell me the 2nd guy wasnt randomly stumble into the old Franku video, as well as the suicide forest from Logan's and then just take the worst from both side to make it even worse (i like Frank and his content mainly surrounds his friends group, cuz if they actually pull those on normal people there would be uproar even back then)

Even if it’s a phase it doesn’t excuse them for their inappropriate creepy behaviour. In anyway they should learn from us westerns sides and turn it into something more healthy and educational.As a person who has experienced a lot of these pranks before it’s really unpleasant to keep doing this while other kids are looking up to you

I don't know how they will learn, maybe those KZbinrs doesn't understand English, just look at their content, you can also judge their brain I believe a lot of japanese people can understand English, but not those KZbinrs 😕
It's like the young adults are 12 years old. They have no self awareness.

Crazy they’re not scrutinized and punished as harshly as foreign KZbinrs who were running around Japan disturbing the peace. They were wrong and should have been punished as well but least they weren’t sexually harassing women and getting bears killed.
