It's ironic, but people sometimes only care for taking photos at museums instead of actually being interested in the art.

The very 1st camera Minolta ever produced at 3:17. Back then they weren't called Minolta though. Back then they were called Nichi-Doku Shashinki Shoten which roughly translates to Japan-German Camera Store. Also, great seeing so many other Minolta's present. Long live Minolta!

My god! How is it that I have never heard of this place before? I go to Tokyo regularly and enjoy camera hunting while there, plus I've been shooting Nikons since 1976! Heck, I've been to the Nikon Museum twice and they've only been open for what? 6 years? This place will definitely on my bucket list for my next visit! Thanks so much to brining light this treasure trove of photography!

After watching your tour of the Nikon museum and seeing the fish eye 120 film Nikon, I went on a deep dive trying to find all I can about it. There is such little info on it, all I know is a few weather stations in Japan got them, but where they are now is a complete mystery!

Great video Bellamy…I’m finally visiting Tokyo again in 10 days time and can’t wait, so looking forward to it. This museum is now on my list, thank you! Now, you really need to sort out the audio in your videos, it sounds like you’re in an old school telephone box…underwater.

I've been really lucky to work with those "old" collaborative digital cameras at my work, they can actually take nice photos! Really big fan of the DCS 760 series, I never imagined one would be able to make an F5 heavier!

Video @ 20:04 "stickers" - Do they remove the stickers off the cameras? (they eventually, ever so slightly, marr the finish of the paint & chrome as the adhesive turns acidic). Plus, do they service the cameras before storing/displaying them ? - Finally, where's 'your' Chinon Bellami ?😇

Think I saw my first SLR a Minolta SRT 101B. Yashica though are a very important manufacturer and one the oldest in Japan, unfortunately now defunct. I liked Topcon & a brand called Carena (1970’s) I moved on from the 101B to Contax 139, then Nikon 801, Yashica 230, ,Olympus E330 (my first digital) then back to Nikon D90 & now LUMIX S5.
