I think @Htheorphanrian was basing it on the music. Quite a few duos do this kind of thing and maybe they just find it all a bit "samey". They're allowed their opinion. Personally, I dig this. It's a lot like Front Bottoms, another 2-sometimes-3-piece band, but it's good. Each to their own.
