Great video. Suggestion: that tray needs to be changed :) and get a sharper knife. Other than that, thanks for the content!

Pro-tip #1 - season with pepper after the steak is cooked, not before. Fresh cracked pepper burns nearly instantly in a searing hot pan, imparting a burnt off-flavor to the meat that you won't get in a high end steakhouse. Pro-tip #2 - smash the garlic to let the aromatics out, but leave the skin on to prevent burning in the hot pan.

I understand why you would want to put oil, garlic and rosemary in there...But that is not something I would ever do. Especially for the A5

I got the A5 wagyu from Costco. Prepared it, and it was absolutely delicious. HOWEVER, I think I may be the first person ever to say, I prefer regular usda prime steaks. After less than half the steak, I was done! Waaaaayyy too rich and fatty. If you're going to eat it, I recommend having no more than 2 or 3 little pieces at a time.

@SavaSnacks2 жыл бұрын
I'd say the one thing you have to make sure of is that if you season it WITH SALT ahead of time, make sure you pat the steak dry with a paper towel right before searing and maybe salt it again. When you season the steak with salt ahead of time, it pulls liquid out of the steak and will make it hard to sear if you don't make sure to pat it dry. hope that helps!
