I just wonder - why most farmes do not raise wagyu breed of cattle? Since it is so good and expensive to sell? I mean it can not be much of difference to feed wagyu cattle instead normal angus or other catlle breeds. That way it could be also cheap, since it would not be so rare.
@Spazik86

@Miguel Angel Yea doing it japan way yes, but even feeding wagyu breed lowcost way should produce better results than stanrad cattle breeds.

I could see in the first cut the difference in how Seths knife went through the A5 vrs all the other steaks I’ve seen him cut in these videos. It briefly made my wonder if I have spent too much time watching this channel. Had to go rewatch how to cut a beef, at which point I knew it was all time well spent.

Had the honor of trying A5 Wagyu before and I must say, it’s the pinnacle of all Steaks and Beef in general hands down. Nothing compares to the buttery richness and flavor of it. Highly recommend for any Steak lover to try at least once, likely won’t be the last. It’s almost hard to finish a ribeye by yourself cus of its richness so a family of 4 can enjoy together.

I agree, it’s the best, but like everyone, including yourselves, say, its super rich. I think I would prefer the Australian approach, where it’s half as rich, for about forty percent of the money. That’s still twice as rich as a US Prime cut of beef. I would want a sit down steak dinner with a nice twelve to fourteen ounce steak, baked potato, home made roll and salad. I really don’t mind the act of chewing, especially a great piece of perfectly cooked steak!

Your experience shows, same size cut every time. Its real cool. When I cut steaks at home I always look good on the top but they bottoms are usually either way to fat or to thin and that is no matter how steady I try to keep my hand or how slow I cut. Love the channel, thanks for all the great content.
@1982MCI
@1982MCI 3 жыл бұрын
Sharp knife first off Kenny. Let your knife do the work and do not push down on the meat at all! That’s what’s causing the bottoms to turn out fat and skinny. As you apply any pressure it causes the meat to move so you will end up with a big fat cut on one then the next one will be skinny cause half of the meat is on the previous cut resulting in a fat one. You can also place the meat in the freezer for 15-20 min prior to slicing and it will firm it up and make slicing much easier.

Great video … I have your combination package and I love the butter blend… it has become my secret ingredient now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and hopefully people will stop buying big box meat and find an extraordinary better product going to their local butcher instead.

Dan Carlin had a great description of the Japanese. They're like everyone else, but more so. I wasn't sure if beef production is an art or a science but I'm pretty sure now it's my kind of art. Phenomenal.

A5 is something personally I can only have every 5 years. Last time I had it was in 2011 and a new york strip. I paid 160 for it. It was so rich, so buttery, I could not imagine having it more often.

There is nothing like this. So rich and flavorful. The olive wagyu is even better tasting to me. I have cooked 3 A5 briskets recently and let me tell you that has “ruined” any other brisket. What a treat this is for your customers. They do suggest slicing the steak into 1” strips and cooking a piece at a time!

Finally stopped in at Whitefeather meats today and grabbed one of these wagyu steaks and some bearded butcher blend seasoning. I’m Originally from texas, but live in St. Louis. My wife is from Brunswick and we came up for the holidays and I knew I had to stop in to see it for myself. Great place!

Been binge watching your videos for the last few days, amazing stuff. Just wondering if you guys have a Bandsaw Safety guide because that thing looks crazy dangerous. Also, any bad knife story injuries you could share? Seth is always stressing the importance of chainmail, so it got me thinking he might have hurt himself before. Anyway, love the videos and you have another subscriber for life.
