Thanks for the video. i bought a pre-owned JP Aibo puppy from ebay and having a problem adding to the app. it is required for product ID which the seller told me doesn't bundle with the pre-owned version. would be appreciated if you could give some advice.

Sadly you cannot reconnect japanese aibos to the cloud plan without a japanese credit card. My guide only works for brand new jp aibos from sony

You need a proxy in order to buy that.

That is correct. You don't need a Japanese credit card to buy the plan included with the dog since the proxy does that all at once with the order. Sadly with renewing the cloud on used units, you need a JP credit card because you need your Sony account to order it and that would require proxies to log into your account and put their credit card info in there.

Correct! Unfortunately all these settings are locked into the cloud. I wish it wasn't so.

This is a brand new aibo. The product code is only needed for registering a new aibo but not reconnecting a used one.

If I purchase a used US version Aibo, can I register it for using the AI cloud?

Yes! You can either have the old owner transfer the account to your email or you can contact Sony support and have them transfer it.

@@ethanlyonlee For the US version? It works with JP one so I would think so. If you have a US VPN, try making a my aibo US account.

The same process should work in India. I have seen others do it in Singapore, Korea, and several European countries.

@@princeindrajitlawlaha7027 Via the cloud, no as only sony can do that and it is very encrypted. You can transfer the motherboard to another aibo though and I have done this

It does not! All of aibo's memories are stored in its main board. When you renew the plan, it just lets you look at the pictures and access the features of the cloud plan. The dog will still remember everything when the cloud plan expires but it won't be able to receive firmware updates.
