Amazing documentary! Thank you for making these videos about Japanese gaming! Didn't expect to see a series like Playing Fields from Red Bull, but really enjoyed it! Thanks!!

Daigo : If arcades didn't exist, I think the course of video game history would have been totally different. That hit me hard.

a really worthwhile look into the japanese arcade scene and how much it influenced video games and esports. I love that old arcade collector and maintainer who thinks of games as a form of culture and wants to preserve these fun games for people to enjoy in the future. Also, it's always great to hear Daigo talking about games!

With so many good arcade classic, I hope one day where there's a place for young people, beginners to enjoy fighting games as much as we did. Have a place like a dojo, a training facility or a gym, where parent can sign up their kids to a piano class or a ballet lessons.

There is and they are those game houses that have consoles for fighting games. Ngl they are way too boring compared to arcades but I have no choice but to play there because there's no one playing in the arcades. You arcade dudes way luckier compared to us.

Arcades are for competitive fighting games what LAN cafés are for MOBAs.
Came just for Mikado, but nicely done, so nice for them to have chairs, the arcade's I used to go you had to stand up.

Great presentation but why is audio on speech so bad? Actual quality of the recording clearly doesn't match it sounding like it was recorded inside a shoebox.
