It always depends on the ship. Some are completely fictional, and I've got trouble even digging up traces of how they came up with them (guns are always a good lead), in other cases, we have ships that had such an illustrious career that I have to pick what to mention. I'll be looking at some lower tiers again, to get some content for newer players, and it's usually a nice side effect that those ships actually existed.

I usually don't cover black ships, since they're just tech tree ships with swapped skills, but I'll take a look if they did anything interesting to this one.

The citadel damage situation is even worse than you said, because there are other ships with 457s that get 300% - the Georgia, GK & St Vincent all have 300% on 457mm main battery. So the Tsurugi has just been screwed for no reason.

On paper this ship should be fantastic, but the AP pen is something that I feel is really holding this ship back, pretty badly

Pen is a bit meh for the calibre, dispersion is good. The bigger issue for me is that there are only 6 guns, with a 20s base reload. Usually, ships with low main gun count are balanced via reload, but 20s in T9 isn't good. Make this 18, and we're talking. The armour is terrible, to the degree that T8 battleships will delete you. That's ok, but also means that you're most likely not going to brawl anything in this. Which means the secondaries are all but useless, and your only damage output comes from the surprise torpedoes (and those are good), but also means that with the utterly terrible secondaries (WW1 vintage 140s with Spaceballs level of dispersion), since they're deepwaters, you can't defend against DDs like you can in her Kii-like peers. It's not a really bad ship, but it feels like a rehash of already existing ones, which are at least as good. Which is my long-winded way of saying that this is a collector's item in my book :)

Thanks Wargaming for a Japanese version!, Terry does it have japanese accuracy guns or like the main guns of german BCs? if yes then its a japanese copy of german BC ngl

It's hard to tell from playing a handful of test games due to RNG, but from the "feel", I'd say yes, they're pretty precise. The limiting factor is more the lack of pen for the calibre and the comparatively long reload for the reduced number of guns, so you really have to get torpedoes on target in order to make anything happen, since the guns won't cut it alone.

I just finished Duncan's quests with Respawn. It's such a good T9 ship. I'm playing St. Vincent now and it is soooo worth it. The grind was super enjoyable and it's a great ship.

Is the dragon part of the hit-box? Would be a bit detrimental if you are bow-"tanking"

No idea to be honest, but I would be reasonably certain that it's not. Hitboxes are already rough, triangular approximations of the visuals (see various islands, British battlecruisers and such), I doubt that they'd have a customisation there for a non-standard camo.

Any idea why every other T9 premium gets at least one or two special skills, but the Mushashi gets ZERO? As for this ship, the Iwami looks like the much better option.

Musashi is one of the older premiums, before the somewhat inflationary use of skills to differentiate ships. Back then, 18 inch guns were still the largest, and somewhat of a rarity.

I can't remember the last time I was truly excited for a new ship release ... I don't play tiers IX and X . The last ship released I am looking forward to collect is the Black Benson . I try to stay positive and find a way to laugh these things off and move on . Truly the ships released have all been very boring ...ship.skills.are a.big deal . They create.a lot of the ship.excitement. lately the skills.are confused or.weak or just all of them and.weak.

We've had some interesting additions lately, British battlecruisers with superheals have mixed up T10, Pan-American light cruisers have been a nice addition for support cruiser players, and now we've got the salvo fire mechanic coming up with the Spanish cruisers.

Played a lot of matches in t8-10 I've yet to encounter 1

Yeah, this is going to be a very niche kind of ship. I do see Musashis quite often, but the other battlecruisers, not so much. T9 BB is a hard sell to begin with.

@@FunandGameswithTerry it did only have 0.25% chance on the crate that maybe one of the factors, same as the other 2 ships in the crate. It will be nice to encounter it in a match

Poor AP, just like the pc counterpart. Don't worry, the entire line of japanese BCs will be like that. What I find odd is wg creating Adatara as a t8 battlecruiser when they had an perfect candidate in the same tier called Amagi.

Nothing new - they had two perfectly viable battlecruisers in the German line at t7 in the Gneisenau and Scharnhorst, and still added the Heinrich.

​@@kardy12but Heinrich is not a bad ship (at least in WoWB), she is very nice tbh. The problem is the Zieten with just 6 guns

@@moonlightsparkle2690 I don’t have a very high opinion of the Zieten, but there are those in the WOWSB community that manage to make it work. Scharnhorst also gets a lot of stick for the 283mm guns and people like Slai47 have put it in the “needs fixing” category, but for me it’s still to this day one of my favourite ships and I think a lot of the grief it gets comes mainly from people who try to play it like a battleship when it isn’t. So I’m willing to consider that maybe I’m just playing the Zieten wrong 😂 That said, I think a sister ship to the Odin would have been better on the German BC line in terms of continuity in play styles between the Heinrich and Rupprecht.

I haven't looked at the battlecruiser line on PC yet, we'll see how it turns out here. So far, we've got the Germans, who are mid-range high dps, the long-range British HP tankers, the IJN would have to bring something to the table other than "effectively a very large CA", otherwise we're better off just playing that line.

Nice video but gun are just terrible i mean if it cant scoree citadel on cruiser its not good Plus in order to torp enemy need to give broadside to those vermonts yama kremlin there

Yeah, with that armour, Vermont or CC are going to have a field day. Haven't managed to get into a T10, but given what T8 BBs can do to you, it won't be pretty. I often use torps passively on this one, i.e. drop them on something I'm not actually targeting, and then focus on another ship, or, more frequently, running away behind the next island.
