How did you find this information again? The internet wayback machine? Not quite sure what you are saying but that is what closed captions shows. I never used this before. Please explain. BTW I am very pleased with this video. One of my group members and I got into a discussion awhile back and I found on the NAWCC where Charlie had this domain but no one could tell me about it. I will be posting this video to my group page. Thanks again for making this video.

Hi Mark! It's called The Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Any search will bring it up. Over many years it crawled the web taking snapshots of all the Internet sites and took "snapshots" of the pages on each site. Once you are there you put in the website URL you are interested in and if it archived that site it will show you the years, and then you can click on the different months, and days you want to look at. It is a great research tool.

I am one of those people that have the problem of searching about clocks. It's always a shame to loose history. I guess that is what a real book is meant for. Thanks so much and God Bless

Well, Mike, I think everyone has strengths and weaknesses in the amateur clock world and we can always learn from each other, so I think sharing what we know is important. When people ask me about cuckoo clocks, I tell them to go see you!! 🤣

Hi Ab hope you are doing well, you seem busy organising your workshop 🙈thanks for all that information, didn't realise there was that many Japanese trademarks, Charles Davies worked hard collecting all that information, all the best

Hi Paul! It's a lot of work organizing and truthfully, sometimes it is too much, and I just take a nap instead. Take care of yourself! 🤣🤣

Hey Ab, wow don't cover it!! Thanx for the heads up on Charlie! Now I'll have to take a closer look at those logos so I can identify the clocks that ain't the usual suspects. Rex

Thank you Rex. I'd been meaning to do this for a long while now, but time just slips away.... 🤣🤣

thanks you. I found the one I was looking for albeit marked unknown. It was in the characters. Plus my monitor maybe made the lower alpha numeric blurry. At any rate thanks for your work. Impressive and full of Love

Thanks for the information! I only have one Japanese clock - the small dog clock from Tezuka "Poppo" brand (I believe you own a larger version of it) and two pre-Seiko wrist watches. It is unfortunate that Charlie's web site is gone but good that you can still access archives of it. Charlie also wrote a nice article that is in the NAWCC Bulletin No. 383: December 2009 (available on the NAWCC web site as a pdf file to download). The article shows most of the logos and information that were on his web site. I would add the direct link to the article but every time try to add a link, KZbin deletes my posts.

Is this a live organ background or old recording.... I like this sound. The professor is back!👏👏👏
@time4clocks9 ай бұрын
It was an older recording Fabien. It was made went I was taking care of father and I could hear him snoring in the background. I will have to repair the organ soon so I can play again. 🌷

Glad to see how many Japanese clocks were kosher! I keep my dairy and meat clocks separate and store my Passover clocks in the basement. 😉
