Fun fact! they have this sushi chain with gachapon/capsule toys in america too! They're called Kura sushi! I've gone to one in houston texas super fun! They're in california, new york, texas, georgia, illinois and nevada!

Avery the Cuban-American the conveyer belt sushi restaurants in America have tons of options for non raw or picky sushi but Japanese conveyer belt places most likely won’t have too many non raw or non picky sushi. natto and cucumber rolls are prob the only couple option for non raw sushi

it's also good for tourists, in the case that for example one person wants to eat traditional sushi but his companion is not convinced about eating raw fish; he can then enjoy other kind of food. By the way i am going to japan in November, it's not exactly my first time in Japan but it will be my first time in this kaitenzushi so thank you for the insights.

This was a very thorough coverage of a more family-friendly conveyor belt sushi restaurant aka "Kaiten Sushi Restaurant" in Japan. As a traveler, it helps to understand and know the other dining options outside of fast food, street food, and fine dining. This particular kaiten sushi restaurant shows us the ease of ordering and the many menu items to choose from. I would most certainly enjoy going there to eat when I travel to Japan. I love a unique dining experience.

I've been to Kura in Sacramento. I'm sure it's nothing compared to the locations in Japan but it was still pretty good. I love their shoyu ramen. Delicious!

The Hambaga nigiri was my kids favorite in Japan and they ate SOOOO much of it. It was rich, flavorful and just the right mouthful for kids to enjoy. The vinegared rice was great with it too!

That's kind of the beauty of a concept like that, especially if you're more of a grazing type. Our size burgers are kind of a commitment, but there you can have a variety of stuff.:)

The Hamburger meatball sushi reminds me of an item on The Cowfish’s menu called Burgushi. It’s a sushi roll comprised of burger or pulled pork.

What timing! I had kaitenzushi at Kura Sushi in Texas for lunch today. No burgers on the menu. I had a couple types of beef sushi(yakiniku, umami oil and premium American beef varieties), tonkasu ramen, gyoza and taiyaki for desert. It was great! I absolutely love that they offer non raw items at Kura Sushi in the USA.

Yes, the menu is different in the USA. I’ll have to go when I return home to check it out! This chain is growing fast! They add a lot of tech but keep it cheap. Everything in Tokyo is ¥100 (less than a dollar!)

I went to genki sushi in Shibuya and Kaiten sushi in harajuku and i loooved both of them! So much fun to order and see your order be delivered on the mini Shinkansen food train and eat! Both places where cheap and the food came fast!
