Fantastic! I'll be honest & say that I would imagine that being Japanese (neat & tidy people), living in Singapore (neat & tidy country), that it makes sense that their apartment would be modern. So this was a complete surprise to me. And I think a good surprise too. Good on them. Maybe their Artist character gave them the courage for this.

Nowadays not everyone is has handy as them. Something spoil, call people come fix then pay money. Want to change furniture, go Ikea buy. They probably saved a lot of money

Singapore is amazingly safe clean and a family-oriented environment. Just remember what happened to the kid who destroyed some of the parts of the luxury cars! The same thing happens if you spit or spit gum on the street.

Government sells HDB Flat for Singaporean to stay. But Singaporean uses the flat to invest or make money. later when they doesn't have a house to stay. Who will they be blaming.
