I agreed that earphones is disturbing but I do not agree that earphones is disrespectful. You can wear earphones everywhere as long as you do not disturb people around. Since these earphones are not a common thing for Malaysians, it is likely that others will find them strange if someone wear it in public.

I'm sorry that you encountered an airport staff playing games and they even had the audacity to ask you to wait just so they could finish their game. Even as a Malaysian myself I consider that kind of behavior as rude towards customers and it's absolutely unacceptable. Next time that happens please note of their names and report them. I'm generally fine with people playing light games at work so long that it doesn't interfere with their work (I did that too sometimes) but when there's a customer around, serving the customers takes priority over whatever you're doing.

Compared to the people in four seasons, there is autumn and winter yearly. Those people have to grow, hunt, plan and keep food and water, otherwise they will starve during winter." Great video. As Malaysian myself, I love to see foreigner experienced Malaysia & gave opinions. It would help us to improve more & learn about each other's culture. My personal opinion as Malaysian myself: 1. Shop staff singing - Its normal if they're singing sometimes during work but still doing their job but I'm gonna be pissed off if I can't pay for my items. Maybe they've done it to release stress 😅 2. Eat during class - We eat as long as it doesn't interfere with the class. I always ate something if I was sleepy. 3. Too much thank you - It depends on person. If between close friends we don't really hope for thank you but more on the act. Exp: If I need help from my friends, s/he would help me & doesn't really need some sort of appreciation. It's okay bcs that's what friends are for, helping friends in need. In the future, if that friends having problem, if I can help I would definitely help in the best way possible within my limit. If between others (not close friends), most of us will say thank you if received help. I agree with you that Malaysian like to do things together. It's part of our culture. If the work needs cooperation we'll do with everyone. But sometimes, people take advantage of the situation. If the work can be done without the need of others, that's just lazy & I hate that. 4. Timeliness - Super agree with you. It's unpredictable. We still need improvement on that. 5. Relax with work - That airport staff was rude btw 😡💢 If you're in that similar situation again, you should do a formal complain. Take note of his/er name or maybe take photos or videos when you do the complaining. 6. Fashion & Make up - Agree with you. Malaysian dress up casually or almost the same bcs it's summer all year. We don't have a need for different kind of clothes (season) unless we have special occasion. Makeup depends on person. 7. Malaysian are expressive - Kinda agree & kinda not. I would say it depends on person. There are people who are open-minded but also some that feel shy. Earphones-Most people doesn't really care as long as it don't bothers them that much. Also wearing ear/headphones means you don't really hears clearly your surrounding.

Hi, thank you for the video. I enjoyed it. Just one feedback so that the non Japanese speaking viewers can enjoy more - since the background is white, do consider putting the subtitle as black. Or wear black. Arigato! 😁

Your charm is irresistible!!😁 You look energetic.💪 You have a great smile. I love you!!😘 I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships😘🤗😁

My classes at my university also involve a lot of eating. Heck we even ate nasi lemak during classes lol.. But on the bright side, we can go on with class for 3 hours non-stop because we frequently load ourselves with food so we don't feel hungry..

This is funny! I secretly ate my snacks like sweets and junk food during classes though sometimes I was caught red handed by my lecturers. But they didnt scold the students who ate such snacks. However, instant noodle and kfc are a bit over 😂.

As for working ethics, it's rare to find a serious working environment in malaysia. But there are places like that. As for me who have a hard time staying still and have a very short attention span, I prefer more laidback culture. I can work according to my mood. Like 1-2 hour focus then 5-15 minutes off mode. Or else, I won't be able to focus anyway. In a way, Msia is really convenience I'm thankful for that 😁😂

I have a few Japanese friends and you really have to adjust how you act and react to many things especially punctuality. I kind of gotten used to turning on and off this Malaysian button of mine whenever I meet them. There's a lot of small things that are also different but not as obvious such as table etiquette, personal space, body language, greetings, etc. All in all, it's really interesting to meet, talk and understand people from a society that has been homogeneous for a long time and let's you realize that multi-racial country like Malaysia is indeed rather interesting as well

I remembered visiting Tokyo and everyone was going around in orderly fashion, especially in the subway. I was staying in Marunochi and the people in the next building were seen working past midnight.... everything in Japan is formal and polite which felt uptight. However, the food is really bagus!

Ah yeah you're right about the earphones/headphones. For me, I prefer using them. I will only not use them when I'm amongst familiar people or the audio isn't needed to be on full volume. But most of the time, I refrain myself from making unnecessary noises. But cultural wise, the people who don't use headphones are usually elders cause they aren't familiar with such devices, and that's the most boomer thing they can do, Im not even joking

Hi, it's normal for you to have culture shock 😙 Malaysian have 3 major races (Malay, Chinese and Indian) and other minority races, don't confuse! We have 1 culture, no matter how busy we are, we will going back to our hometown or village (or called as "musim balik kampung" in Malay), during public holiday. This is one of our culture.
