This place has no door or windows. A simple mat and gourd of water next to a lit candle. This is where the mind ceases to grasp and is engulfed by emptiness.

But if the mind is completely empty then how does it return if the desire to do so is no longer within it. Therefore, the returning of the mind may only come about due to the outside world distracting it from its emptiness by stimulating the senses. Thus a mind once emptied is not disconnected from all things, only the things not present. To be empty means to only be filled only with the world one feels and nothing else, which is to say not empty at all. One may never truly be empty, only at peace and among stillness.
