I agree with Sam about the weather in Japan. To visit Tokyo, Osaka & Kyoto, avoid high summer, early May (the next biggest holiday season after New Year in Japan), June (rainy season) and the beginning & the end of the year (most of the shops are closed). I personally love Okinawa a lot. But please do a lot of research. You can visit main island anytime. But for visiting smaller islands, early July is the best as it’s after rainy season but normally before high typhoon season and you can enjoy lots of water activities. You can see lots of fish & even manta rays (Ishigaki Island) just with doing snorkelling. But again it can be so hot even in July. So if you are not really beach person, avoid summer season. But it’s so sad to miss beautiful beach, clear water and lots of fish. Have you been to Australia and/or Polynesian islands or the Maldives? But food wise, Okinawa probably is more unique & interesting?? By the way, the tea Audrey having on this video probably was Soukenbicha, 12 kinds of non caffeine tea blend.

Yes! Sam is right. Definitely come back to Japan in fall or spring - I recommend fall - touristy places are packed with ppl all the time anyway. Even winters here are not so bad at all. Like this winter, it's been a warm one, and weather is usually nice with clear skies in winter time here. Sam is also right what he said about the capsule hotels. Women never used them at first, they were mostly for men, now it's totally different, some are very stylish and comfortable for women to stay. Really enjoyed this mukbang, and all the random things youtalked about!
