Japanese Fried Noodles, Yakisoba with ingredients you have in your fridge!

Yakisoba noodles and Yakisoba sauce are hard to find overseas, and I understand you don't want to buy a whole bottle of seasoning that you might never use again. . .
And the biggest problem for us is almost all Yakisoba seasoning products contain fish extract and almost all yakisoba noodles contain egg or fish derived preservative...
In this video, I will show how to make yakisoba using ingredients that you have in the fridge.

I recreated the taste of yakisoba I grew up eating.
But in Japan, yakisoba is considered a simple food that can be made using leftover ingredients at home.

Good recipe! I found the Otafuku brand yakisoba sauce at a Korean supermarket that was actually labeled as vegan so I went with that, but they also had the Bulldog and Delicious brands. Using baking soda to cook the noodles is a game changer, it really does make them chewier. I was also able to find frozen yakisoba noodles at the same Korean market but for those that can't find them, regular spaghetti noodles work very well. I tried both noodle types because I made this two nights in a row lol.

I'm jealous that you can get Otafuku's vegan sauce in your neighborhood. When Otafuku released vegan versions of their classic sauce products a few years ago, it became a hot topic in the vegan community in Japan, but in Japan it is only available for purchase online, and most of cases are per box... The vegan products seem to be for export only...
