I think 9-10 of the questions were taught in Malaysian primary school, my wrongs were from the oranges and oil refinery Wawasan 2020 is a failure, objectively speaking. I remember when I was 2-3 years old when Dr M announced this, Malaysia was growing well and my parents were somewhat hopeful of Malaysia becoming a developed nation by 2020 as declared by Dr M..However through a series of corruption, incompetencies and overly biased race based treatment (instead of based on merit/ capability), Malaysia had unfortunately slumped deeper and deeper (Malaysia vs Singapore currency used to be 1.5-1.7 back in the 70's through early 90's, yet today it is 3x). Many people take government's help for granted, grew lazier, majority of the leaders became complacent and lack the competencies to govern a nation, most just care about their own personal gain. Malaysian economy is only mainly held by a small group of hardworking, capable people. Poor people were not helped in the right way enough by the government as well. To make matters worse, there is severe brain drain, more and more talents began to leave Malaysia for other opportunities elsewhere. As a result of this mass migration out of Malaysia, Malaysians account for sizeable of Singapore's workforce. If you factor in Malaysians who converted to Singaporeans alongside Malaysians who have not but now reside in Singapore, Malaysians easily account for 30-40% of Singapore's population. I believe the "Malaysia Boleh" slogan (translated as Malaysia can do it!) was also created around that era when Dr M announced wawasan 2020. After Malaysia's series of slumps, most of the locals use "Malaysia boleh" as means of teasing their own country whenever failure by the government/ poor decisions made by the government, it became more as a sacarcism than an admiration because the people were fed up. Anw, hope there is still chance to strive to steer the country back on the right track, there are imperfections here and there, but I believe we are making progress little by little, not all is lost yet, for now at least.
