Brazil has a lot of immigrants so we have "Japanese Brazilian food", "Sino Brazilian food", "Italian Brazilian food" etc. The way immigrants make food with Brazilian seasoning and sizes is very unique, it is worth checking out the way it is made here because even if you have known it in other places here in Brazil, each flavor is very unique

Yassss!!! Ketchup on a pizza is absolutely forbidden! In São Paulo we have really nice Italian food, and even more authentic/napoletana style pizzas thanks to our Italian roots :))) you won’t be disappointed, I swear we don’t make mac and cheese kind of things lol (well there are some places hahaha)

Once in a while i put ketchup or mayo, olive oil and chilly oil on top of pizza, for my taste it doesn't ruin the pizza but it depends on the flavour, i'm found guilty on this one LOL

Eu acho muito legal o sotaque japonês quando fala em inglês, bem limpo da pra entender tudo oque ele diz, tem uns gringos do leste europeu que não da pra entender quase nada quando falam em inglês por causa do forte sotaque, principalmente os da Romênia e Polônia parece que estão falando em grego .

I love the combination of sausage and onion, so simple and so good 🤤 And a good pizza I recommend you to prove too it's called Marguerita (tomato sauce, cheese, olive and basil) very simple and very good too! George, did you know that the origins of feijoada came from slavery in Brazil, where slaves put together the scraps of leftover beans and meat from their owners to create a kind of stew? Just like chitlins in the US that had its origins through slavery. There are some academics who challenge this theory, claiming the origins of feijoada came from the European settlers. But slavery is where this dish came from. It's the same about who is the father of Bossa Nova, where many consider João Gilberto, when in fact, is Johnny Alf. Brazil's cuisine has had many influences from other countries, not just on the food side, but language as well. Brazilian Portuguese has many words that came from Italy like "ciao" (tchau) which means bye; "ne" from Japan, etc( you find many people speaking this particle all over Brazil. It's insane. :) ) Also words from the ingenious people that lived here before the European settlers, not to mention the African influences. It's also hard to set a standard Portuguese for Brazil because we have so many accents in Brazil. In São Paulo we rarely pronounce the words "di" "de" "te" "ti" like the rest of the country. We tend to articulate these words like a "dji" for "de, di" and "tchi" for "te" "ti" when we speak. You can only learn to speak like this through interaction and immersion among Brazilians. In Rio, they tend to pronounce "mesmo" like "meixmo". Also, the " r" sounds weaker than in other parts of the country. It's crazy. :) Not to mention "to" for " "estou", "ta" for "esta". "Ta" is also used for agreement, 'let's go there!". Answer: "ta". That's why Brazil is like no other country in the world. What I love most about Brazil is the warmth of the people that greet anyone they meet with a smile and open arms, despite all the problems we face. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. :) I just hope one day we can get rid of corruption and muggers who cause so much pain to our nation. It's hard to point out who's really Brazilian since we're all Brazilians. :) Pizza is my weak side. I just can't say no to pasta. :)

I’ve never had dessert pizza but that looks luscious. (Brazilians have a thing for chocolate sauce-I’ve had _bolo de cenoura_ [Brazilian carrot cake] comes with a fudgy chocolate sauce and it is delicious.) English tip: Either “how it is”/“how it tastes” (no “like”) or “what it is like”/“what it tastes like”-they all would be OK .“How it is like”/“How it tastes like” (the latter at 8:02 and 12:15) sounds a bit awkward. (Non-native speakers say it all the time.)

My favorite pizza flavor is chicken stroganoff with shoestring potatoes 😆..George, next time, go on a pizza all-you-can-eat...it's common this places to have around 80 flavors for you to try (sweet and savory)...and of course, the pizza pasta is thinner and the slices smaller. It's the same style as the churrasco you ate, you don't need to serve yourself at the buffet, the waiters keep bringing all the flavors to your table... there also pizzerias that bring, in addition to pizzas, varieties of pasta and cuts/baits of meat. You would like!! There is a pizzeria in my city that has a sweet flavor called California Especial, it includes pineapple, figs, peaches, grated coconut, condensed milk and white chocolate, to the delight of Brazilians and to freak out Italians... pineapple on pizza must be heresy for they kkkkk...but it's simply delicious!!🤤🤤

Regarding "São Paulo Style". Some use knife and fork, some just use the hands. Usually in fancy restaurants like the one you went, most ppl will use knife and fork - but I would use my hands and I am from São Paulo :)

George u should’ve tried a pizza “all u can eat” style. Cause in Rio de Janeiro there r A LOT of different flavors, like sushi pizza, strogonoff pizza, shrimp pizza, cheeseburger pizza….there’s no limit to Brazilian’s imagination LOL
