I love that you kept breking rules! Hahahh. I had japanese hair straightening done for about 20 years but always at salons, always paying tons of money and always following their aftercare instructions strictly. Then I decided to grow out my curls for a few years and right now I’m sick of it and can’t wait to do this at home, save money, and break some rules!! 😅🙏🏽❤️

did it damage your hair since u got it done for 20 years?
@fevenciguerra51711 ай бұрын
I’ve only done it once, like in the video, but not anymore. I like the waves better, I don’t like my hair too straight. I haven’t had too much breakage during that time, but it does make your hair more fragile like most chemical processes.

Where did you buy the product. Can you give us a link?

Hi there, Where did you buy it? I've only found it at Walmart, but it comes from a private seller to be delivered at the Walmart...kinda weird... Do you happen to know where I can find it in Canada? Thank you :)

U said start from bottom nd move ur way up, but u starting at the root. Is the root the bottom ?
@fevenciguerra5178 ай бұрын
When I said the bottom I meant the bottom back of the hair (that’s the way I prefer working). Work on the roots first and then work along the hair length on each strand. I hope it’s all clear now 😊

Maybe I missed it but you didn’t mention how long did you leave the first straightening cream on for? Also, I’ve heard people doing keratin treatment right after neutralizing, what do you think about it?
@fevenciguerra5173 жыл бұрын
The instructions say to leave from 20-45 minutes total, I left for 35 minutes. About the keratin treatment right after, I'm not sure if it would affect the straightening result (maybe not), but iI think it can be very tiring doing 2 long hair processes at once.
@fevenciguerra5173 жыл бұрын
I forgot to explain in the video that I left the product for about 35 minutes total in my hair. I also would like to mention that I am using only my @cantodafefa Instagram account (different than the account mentioned on the video).

It you’re hair is about 20% bleached, you’re okay to try the chemical straightening. Treat your hair with Olaplex n3 before the treatment, it really makes a huge difference!

What does your hair look like if you were to wash and let it air dry or blow dry without a brush?
@fevenciguerra5172 жыл бұрын
The same. I have to blow dry because I have too much hair and it takes too long to air dry in this freezing Canadian winter 😊

How long does it last
@fevenciguerra5172 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t come off. You need to cut your hair and let new hair grow to get rid of all this chemical.

Can you link your flat iron?
@fevenciguerra5173 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I have no clue what brand is, I bought online a long time ago from a foreign website because I saw a good advertising, haha! This flat iron has an option for steaming the hair, but I have never tried steaming while flat ironing though. If I find out the brand, I'll come back to let you know.

Hi, how long the result will last. Btw informative video thanks

Thank you so much ❤️ The Japanese hair straightening changes the hair structure permanently, there’s no way to reverse. You either have to do a touch up on the roots as it grows in order to keep your hair straight, or, if you want your curls back, you will have to wait your hair grow and cut off the part that received the treatment.

How long did you keep it on for? Is it still called Japanese straight when the product is not Japanese?
@unaa93803 жыл бұрын
The technology was started by a Japanese woman so I guess the name just stuck
@fevenciguerra5173 жыл бұрын
35 minutes total. The process is called Japanese Hair straightening, but the product doesn't need to be Japanese.

This product can’t be used on bleached hair. You are lucky it didn’t react and you lost hair
@fevenciguerra5173 жыл бұрын
This product is for sensitized hair, which means hair that has been previously chemically treated or bleached.
