Just an update. I did do the treatment at home to myself!! I could not be more happy with the results. I think the key was your advice on which type of solution for your hair. Others are under the impresion that "Strong" means for curlier hair. You explain it beutifully that it has to do with previous coloring and hair strength after the knot test etc. My hair is so much more managable. I can finally just let it air dry!! It did not damage my hair at all. It took me 5 hours to do though lol. Humidity is not really an issue for me anymore. Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I am so glad that my explanation made everything clear for you. I’m glad that you got great results. I sometimes come between 3 1/2 hours and 5 hours. So spending five hours I think 5 hours is pretty good. It was my pleasure sharing the knowledge that I have acquired in the nearly 20 years of doing the service.

Hello Nero, I'd like to do the straightening but to retain some volume at the root of my bang area. Is it possible to achieve this effects with this system if I were to blowout my roots and keep small perming rods at the root of my bangs for the 3 days after the process? I just want straight hair but don't want it to be so flat and straight that it sticks to my face:")

Hey Nero! I wish you could do my hair 😭 I haves question - I have highlighted hair but I’ve only gotten highlights twice in 10 years. I take pretty good care of my hair and my hair dresser says it’s not damaged just on the dryer side. I purchased the normal straightening cream and am having buyers regrets thinking I should have bought the mild Would you it make sense to leave the normal solution on for just less time? Would that make up for it not being a mild solution? Hope this makes sense. Thank you!!!

Hello! Under normal circumstances I would love to be able to assist you in providing a formulation. However, without me personally testing and analyzing your hair it would be Impossible for me to tell you what the appropriate formula would be. My ability to help is for hairdressers that have been certified in this process to give experiential answers and advice. Not only would it be unwise; but more importantly unprofessional of me to give a formula. Especially considering that this product is for professional use only and not intended for consumers to complete the service. I would definitely encourage you to proceed with extreme caution. Even experienced hairdressers don’t always have the necessary skills and qualifications to perform this type of service. It is a highly specialized and niche service. You may have fantastic results. But you may end up over processing and severely damaging your hair. Sorry I couldn’t provide a more clear answer.

Dear Sir, I have a question that I cannot find an answer to. I didn't have the knowledge I needed to understand the difference between a keratin treatment vs a Japanese treatment (I do now with a complete understanding of how the two differ and how they work). So my question is, how long should I safely wait after a keratin treatment before having a Japanese treatment done? Hair health is excellent. No hair products for years, no ironing, no hair dryer, no dyes or highlights, ponytail only. Knots bounce out quickly. Thank you in advance

I would typically wait at least three months so that the Keratin that is coating the hair has a chance to wear off.

Plz answer, I used the normal formula on my virgin curly hair, my hair is coarse and long. it didn't straighten my hair it left my hair not fully straight but curly. what should I do to make it straight? and how long should I wait? and what formula should I used the next time I use the treatment.

Can you make a weaken the strong solution with the zero?

Zero (Knoteurzero) can be blended into your Liscio Crystal Straightening Cream And will slow down the processing by 50%. Typically I would only blend it into Mild creating an even more gentle or ultra mild formula. If you’re trying to blend it into Strong because you don’t have Mild or Normal proceed with caution. You don’t want to weaken the formula too much. Rely on you’re not test to ensure processing time.

since this procedure does not help with eliminating frizz but does completely straighten, would it be possible to do a keratin treatment to eliminate the frizz a couple of months after straightening?

Hello Erika, this procedure does eliminate frizz. In fact, it eliminates frizz better and longer than a Keratin.

I was curious if the knot test should be done when the hair is completely dry or should we do while the hair is wet?

Hi! After the hair is washed, towel dry and then perform the knot test. That will help you determine whether the hair is healthy enough to go through a chemical service and it should help you determine the formula strength. That same knot test is done to determine when the processing is finished. The product is removed and then they’re knot test is performed.

@@nerohairsalon7456 Yes, I get it so clear from all your videos explaining about knot test to determine the strength of cream to be used and in the process in between. Due to covid issues, I actually wanted to do this at my home and just wanted to know the type of strength should I go for. I have same texture of hair like the girl in the video and same outcome for the knot test. I blow dry my hair sometimes and also do the flat ironing at home after shower. I am just debating whether to go for normal or mild one. Can you recommend me based on the info I have provided? I also researched about your salon and you are located in Florida. Since I reside in CA, I am collecting all the necessary info from your video to do it at home.

Does the knot test is applicable to kinkier hair like 4type hair? If not, how can I test the health of my 4b type hair before applying the Japanese hair straightener? (I usually do it in a hair salon but I have to move to an area where there are no salons that can do my type of hair...)

What I can tell you though is a knot test MUST always be done regardless of hair type.

@@nerohairsalon7456 I understand that. My question is how can we check if kinky/coily hair is healthy with a knot test? How can we even perform a knot on a coily/kinky strand of hair... I live in Japan and I never heard about a knot test, instead another technique is being performed. I was just curious on how this can be done on the most coily type of hair since it is not the easiest type of hair to make a knot with.

Hello Emma, You must get a certification from the manufacturer. There are generally two ways. Attend a class. Those can happen typically in New York and they will have classes around the country periodically or you can specifically request a class for your salon. The easier way is on the Milbon website you can take the class virtual. In fact, the same material that you are seeing on KZbin is the same material that they are using.
