Why do you leave the neutralizer on for 20 mins when on the bottle it says to neutralize for 5 mins? Also I watched a Liscio video where they only neutralized for 5 mins. Also, when you do a root touch up, why do you add neutralizer to all the hair?? I recently did a root touch up and only applied the straightening cream to the top of my head. But I used neutralizer all over my hair because that’s what they did in the Liscio video where they also did a root touch up. The new growth came out super shiny and soft, but the pre-relaxed hair feels so dry and damaged even tho I didn’t add extra relaxer to it. I think it came from the neutralizer because right after I rinsed it is when the mid shaft to the ends felt super dry.

How hot does the flat iron need to be? Like for the keratin treatments that I would do on myself, I remember having to use my BaByliss at 450 degrees, with several passes. How do you do that for this type of straightening treatment?
@AHLIYON3 жыл бұрын
350 degrees is efficient enough for JTR JTS.
@LizVasquez883 жыл бұрын
@@AHLIYON Hi! Thanks for responding! ....I've been using the mild formula, twice so far. I applied it once every 6 months, so it's been a year now. I've noticed that my hair has been breaking and there has been some hair loss--My hair is still long, but I've noticed that its growth seems a bit stalled. I suspect it's cause it's probably very dry. How do you keep your hair healthy and moisturized with the treatment in it? I'm like you when it comes to my hair--I'm lazy with it and I don't like fussing with it much--but I've been applying heat to it a lot since my roots are growing out, which I'm sure isn't helping. How do you keep your roots looking smooth as they grow out? My roots are growing out, and they are thick and curly (I can't stand it!!! lol) ...I'm definitely due for a root touch-up, but I'm afraid to apply more of the treatment--before the hair breakage, I had planned to go up from the mild and use the normal, but now, I'm afraid to do anything. I also color my hair to cover the grays---so I'm at a loss as to what to do....Maybe I should focus on making my hair more healthy with moisturizers, hot oil treatments, etc. You and I seem to have the same hair texture, so I'm wondering what you do to keep it healthy? Thanks! :)

How long did you wait to touch up your roots? I’m about to do this for my hair in a few days and I’m confused as to how often I should be touching up my roots. I’ve seen some say 6 months and others say 3 months.
@xcrystallynn4 жыл бұрын
For me, I usually wait until my hair grows out at least an inch and a half before I touch the roots up, so that’s about 3 months

I couldn’t find the Liscio hair treatment (the small clear bottle) What is a good substitute?
@Olga_ime Жыл бұрын
I just completed my 3rd touch up thanks to your videos and decided to try something different since my results prior to have been ok but not perfect. I washed my hair with dawn dish soap twice to get everything out. Then after getting out of the shower, I put leaving conditioner on all of my hair focusing on the ends and let it air dry. The next day, after my hair was dry instead of making it wet again I decided to add water to the chemical straightening treatment (like me thinking duh if the hair has to be wet why not just make the chemical wet?!) as an experiment and for simplicity. It was actually much easier to apply the chemical to my hair this way. Once I saturated my hair with chemical I covered it with bags and waited 30 mins, then washed off AND instead of using shampoo I saturated my hair with the O hair treatment conditioner and washed it with that then rinsed twice making sure to get all the chemical out. THEN blow dried, straightened, and applied the neutralizing lotion and washed again after 20 mins, once again without shampoo only using the O hair treatment conditioner twice and until the chemical was all washed off and lathered my hair with leave in conditioner. Blow dry again - this is when I noticed the ginormous difference. My hair literally was pin straight like it all had worked perfectly. Did the straightening and now waiting one more day to have 3 days in before I wash. My hair is so freaking flat straight. I have a feeling that this time it will be straighter than on my previous attempts.

For the last flat iron of the treatment, do you think if you flat iron your hair differently that style will be the one that sticks (seeing as how it can crease easily in the 72 hour window) or would it still be straight. My thinking is that there's a technique where u straighten the hair in a way that adds volume so if u can maintain that style for the 72 hours then wash the hair when it dries wouldn't you have a volumed look? Hope that makes sense lol
