My 3 year old daughter is also going to start youchien now. She's excited, I'm excited too as a mom. But a bit anxious because I know how physically active she is, that she might do some things she thinks she could do by herself but actually not. Anyway, omedetou and good luck to both of us😘

One teacher for 6-7 students in America? Where on earth did you find that? Every class I've ever been part of was 20 or more students, usually more.

OMG, sorry for my poor investigation. My actual class was like that in US in 31 yrs ago...

roselover411 With preschool and even kindergarten there are teachers and assists. Most schools and daycare centers require one adult for every 5-7 children. Source: Friend is a teacher assistant and Aunt runs a daycare (both in the USA).

wow that sounds really expensive! I also heard that in Japan there is a test/interview with the mother and the child before they can join a kindergarten, is that true? In Europe you just enroll and go there directly.

thank you for your explanation i would like to help you like you help us . the japanese method is called in japan peering learning system student help each other to learn verses u.s. is chant learning system students only listen to the instructor not teacher its not the instructor responsibility to teach but tell students what they must do for that lesson

I think it is totally worth paying for school fees. Parents feel more responsible for their child's education, learning and behaviour in general. British kids are all over the place! ☹️ School ratio is roughly 30:1.
