From my own experience about japanese restaurant franchised overseas, in the begining they are good and reasonably priced. But over time they become expensive and not so good, until even the taste becomes different. To keep japanese restaurants quality consistent , requires, dicipline, skill and dedication. Its not just feeding the masses, it is also a kind of art and there are those who master it.
@watanabejun6 ай бұрын
I totally agreee with youuuu!!!!! hahaha maybe Staff doesnt know original taste from hurt and brain, they might not notice even if taste goes down maybe! hahahaha arigatooo japanese food lover can tell differences and yesss it is art and that's why quality consistent is difficult hahah or maybe they exchange with cheaper ingredients!

Matsuya was one of the first chain restaurants I always came back to when I first visited Japan many years ago. At first I didn't know it was Matsuya because I can't read it, I just always say "that gyudon restaurant with yellow and blue circles." LOL! I thought it was soooo gooooooood. And for Php300+, it was great value for money. Especially after walking all day and being a tourist around Tokyo.
@watanabejun6 ай бұрын
YEEEESSSS yellow and blue circles!! hahahah when I was in highschool way way back days, it was only Php.150 : ) well still cheap with good quality and yes, I always go there too once back to Japan : ) happy that you know it hehehe arigatoo for the comment!

When I first tried Tenya in SM wayback 2015 it was so nice the price was just right, but recently the price is so high and the quality is kinda bad now. WOW, I am impressed you finished that bowl. I might try that if I ever visit that place. Man, I missed Japan already from watching your video hahaha. I was there at Asakusa, Tokyo last February of this year. I've tried Bai Shrimp Fillet-O in マック at Akihabara and it was so delicious. The prices of the food in the restaurants are so cheap. Ramen are below 900 yen versus Ramen in the Philippines which costs around 1400~1500 yen per bowl that is not a set menu yet. I hope Philippines also get good affordable local food with high quality. Also bro, the Famichiki is the best LOL.
@watanabejun6 ай бұрын
when they bring to the philippines, they do training hard maybe and make it same way as japan but since many of staff here dont know original taste they might not realize if the taste change (dis-improve) little by little I guess .... maybe that's why maybe! even Fujisoba too! it might hard to maintain same taste as Japan without Japanese I guess? Kiwami Tendon was pretty good!!! must try before they get bad hahaha Ohhhh you just came back!! and nice places you visit I can tell!! and nice choice food!!! I miss japanese MCDO hahahaha and yeeessss that's right Japan is actually cheap and quality is way way high ..... well, no offence for the philippiness... at least they are trying so im happy hahaha Damnnn you know lol yeeeeesss the Famichiki is the best hahahahah

Ippudo is great in the Philippines, Yabu not so much. Maisen has better katsu but the branches are rare now. Hannosuke has the best tempura so far. But if you are looking for budget friendly prices, Tenya is still good.
@JonasBroderico3 ай бұрын
The yakitori is 50/50. They advertise that they are using binchotan but I see them use regular charcoals at times. The difference is also noticeable. When it is prepared properly, it is really good. If not, it is just okay.
@JonasBroderico3 ай бұрын
Also, nobody is drinking beer because it is overpriced. Their menu items would be the best if properly paired with beer.

Yoshinoya here in the Philippines is soooooo unlike Japan. The taste is really different and even the presentation is a lot different. Even Mc Donald's in Japan, has seasonal drinks and burgers that you don't get here in the Philippines. The only thing they bring back is the curly fries. The other shop, Tenya, I haven't tried.if I wanna eat Japanese usually I go to Yabu. Atleast the taste and quality is close. Btw, I love miso soup. I just don't like the packet ones they use here that you just put hot water. And also when I eat, I try to keep my plate clean. Every bit of rice I try to finis. My mom used to tell us, better finis everything coz your lucky, a lot of people don't have anything to eat.....
@watanabejun6 ай бұрын
Yeahh Yoshinoya is somehow different taste in other countriesss I dont know why ingredient should be simple right? or secret recipi other country can't make, or just beef I d k but yeah sadly different!! and I totally agreeeee!!! miss MCDO seasonal burgers!! and Bacon Potato Pieeee!! Yabu is good I like it too!!! Thanks to Yabu I dont miss Tonkatsu much hahaha maybe my mom doesn't cook Miso soup that's why im not used to it hahaha yeeeeeeeessssssss I thought all filipino leave some of bit of rice lol gooood!! you are Japanese hahaha in Japan we were taught since kids, if you leave one rice, your eyes will be blind hahaha yeah we have to think of people who make rice and someone who can't eat full! : )
@allansevilla56406 ай бұрын
@@watanabejun my mother was very strict with our eating habits. Some just serve whatever their kids want to eat, but in our family, whatever is in the table , we eat. So as a young child , I never had problems eating vegetables. Well let's just say it was a long struggle. If you don't finis whatever was in your plate, your not allowed to leave the table. That was the house rule. So I remember when I was still a picky eater, I'll sit on the table until 4pm because I still hadn't finished my vegetables! But now as an adult I thank my parents for teaching us to eat whatever and be open minded and adventurous with the food I eat
