You are a born storyteller Graham. A joy to listen to. If if your video were about antique clocks, which I don't care about, I would still watch it. But this is about bonsai, so I have two reasons to pay attention. 😊 Good to see you producing videos again. Thanks for that!

Thanks Graham. I've learned so much, so quickly from this video. 3 of my satsukis are doing well, but one is losing its apex. Now I know how to improve it. I'm in Kent - it can get hot and can have very low humidity. And I won't even mention the drying winds we get - oops! I will be removing buds and increasing humidity.

I don't have any Satzukis over here on the West. But I do have a lovely Palustrina Azalea which I had growing well in a patio pot for several years in a peaty compost. I've since repotted it as a 'bonsai' in that Kanuma (I bought from you Graham) and it's sulked ever since. I thought I'd done for it but it's still alive. I'm inclined to agree with you they are a pain but I do love the flowers.

I love this channel. I found it as origin of exclusive taste and style regarding bonsai. Thank you for sharing! So forgive me some critics. Background noise is sometimes pretty addition, sometimes - an inevitable evil. But background music makes the problem much much bigger. Especially for non native english speaker.

I've only been keeping Satsuki Azalea bonsai for the past 2-3 years but they have done really well here in London (and local friends, nurseries etc) - I imagine a bit warmer, damper and less windy than Norfolk. Recommend any readers to check out the latest Rick Garcia book for modern horticulture and technique too.

Who's that playing at the back of your tunnel, Django Reinhardt? Satsuki do fairly well here on the wet and windy Kintyre coast although a bit susceptible come Winter.

How to say you've got an Azalea for sale without saying you've got an Azalea for sale 😂. Thanks Graham 👍

Question: currently it's the first of may and my satsuki hasn't started to flower yet but the first flower bud has started to break. Is it too late to still remove the buds for strengthening? Follow-up question: If i would remove the buds, is now then also an acceptable time to repot as a substitute for the usual after flowering repotting? Thanks a lot! Have a good growingseason everyone.

Living in the Southern U.S. where azaleas are common, I can tell you they need an acidic soil.
