Awesome Jon, I love using Japanese Saws. Great having Tye show off his saws. Enjoyed and thanks for sharing.

Right On Randy! 🙌 I know you’ve used these saws a long time. I thought you’d appreciate this episode. Yeah Ty has easy access to those great saws. Time for a real visit with him in Japan!

I definitely need one of those Japanese flush cut saws, matter of fact I've had one in my cart at one of the discount sites for a while so when I get around to placing an order it's there. That PVC saw was pretty impressive, they seem to have the teeth just perfect for that type of work.

Right On Raw Bacon! 🙌 Yeah the Flush cut and the PVC saws are almost must have items. Just cutting stuff up all day long!

Wow, this was a great demo, Jon. Love the blade removal and attachment of the Kataba saws. Smart. Agreed about the flush cut task, I think that’s when I see these types of saws used most often. Why, Ty at the end practically making veneers of that board! Insane. +1 on the. 🍿 popper, plz.

Right On Luke! 🙌 Those saws that Ty has are pretty cool. I need to get my hands on one and make some dust!

Right On Big Vic! 🙌 I had fun putting this video together. Lots to cover talking about saws. Had to write a few things down as to not forget to include them. Hope you’re doing great! 👍

Thanks Jon, great overview, I've owned Silky saws for years now and the quality is excellent, I also have some of the traditional carpentry saws but I like to have the choice of both Western & Japanese to use ! I'll be interested to hear your observations in comparing the Katanaboy and the Two hand bucking saw, I have my grandfathers two hand saw to restore but my usual saw for limb cutting is a Silky Sugowaza with coarse teeth it's a beaut !
@RightOnJonCrane2 ай бұрын
Right On! 🙌 I do love all types of saws as well! That’s cool you have been using the Silky saws. I really like them. I do like that big bucking saw. Those saws are a whole rabbit hole to go down. So much to know about sharpening. I’m excited to make the video comparing the two. 🙌 Hope you’re doing great!
