This is just what i was looking for. Japanese audio with Japanese subtitles, but with hiragana over the kanji. Plus helpful, context giving pictures, and an English translation. Thank you!

Absolutely! It’s like going on an adventure with Takeshi and Hanako while learning at the same time! The story pulls you in, and before you know it, you’re picking up new words without even realizing it. Learning a language doesn’t get more fun than this! Keep it up, you're on the right path!

Four times already? That’s some serious dedication! By the fifth listen, you'll probably be speaking like a local from Takeshi's village! Keep up the awesome work, and soon you'll be narrating your own stories in Japanese! Keep it going!

This post is truly a "hit for Japanese learners"! The sweet and gentle story of Takeshi and Hanako feels like a delightful little adventure in the forest, making anyone who reads it want to get up and explore. The way you’ve woven in those charming moments-like the rabbit darting away in surprise and the two kids tossing stones at the fish-brings so much life and warmth to the story. It's a masterpiece for beginners, both easy to understand and filled with joy! Congratulations, talented content creator, you've definitely created a "big hit"!

On 6:16, if I'm not mistaken, the furigana for 木 should be き and not こ, shouldn't it? And I'm so grateful I found your chanel and your stories! I found a couple of formulations a bit challenging but that's a good thing. Brilliant work! Thank you! Ap

6:10 木の下 -furigana should be きのした (not このした) 10:03 1日 - supposed to be いちにち? (The voice said ついたち which is "1st day of month", while いちにち is "one day")

I’m very early days for learning Japanese. I can hear a word at the end of most of the sentences that sounds like shi musta. Does this mean full stop?
@casey40

Could be wrong as I'm new too. But I think it's "shimashita" and it means something they did.

~imashita usually indicates the past tense of the verb in polite form😊. So waraimashita means they smiled, mitsukemashita, they found, shimashita, they did. Verbs occur at the ends of sentences in Japanese, so listening for ~imasu (the present tense) or ~imashita can help you know when sentences are ended.
@janetandrews453
@janetandrews453 3 ай бұрын
Since the story is what they did (in the past) most of the sentences are going to be using verbs in the past tense so there is a lot of "...mashita" or just "...tta" for some verbs.

Beautiful (AI) art! But I think you should not leave English subtitles on because then people will be looking at them and not actually focusing on the Japanese. It's very hard not to. We even subconciously look at the subs.

I know you may not want to hear this, but if you truly want to learn Japanese, it's imperative that you learn to read it as well as speak and understand it. This video is at mid level, so romaji will not really be helpful, as the student will be expected to have at least mastered the kana. Fortunately, furigana is provided for those who may not know the kanji.
