What a beautiful piece of equipment! You have made simple food look so elegant ❤ I was worried about you after the sad start Japan had to the new year. I hope you were not affected? Have a great week! 💕💕

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you appreciate the beauty of the Japanese kitchen tools. Regarding the new year, fortunately, I'm safe and not directly affected. The recent earthquake was significant, and even here in Tokyo, it shook quite intensely. It makes me constantly think about the local residents and whether there's anything I can do to help. I appreciate your concern. Wishing you a wonderful week too! 🙏🏻

Do the frozen vegetables taste the exact same after steaming them? I do freeze my garlics and onions… and they are always a little different after i defrost them.

Hello! Thank you for watching the video. Some vegetables do tend to change in taste and texture after freezing, but with these ones, the flavor and texture didn't change much😋, possibly due to steaming. I'll keep experimenting with different vegetables in the future! Thank you as always🙏🏻
This is so beautiful. thank you for explaining the difference between a chinese steamer and a japanese one. Have you tried steaming meats or fish using the japanese steamer? Am afraid whether the smells will transfer to the steamer. Thanks :)

Thank you so much for your kind words🙏🏻 Yes, I've steamed meats and fish using a Chinese steamer before, but I placed them in a dish inside the steamer, preventing any transfer of smells. I haven't tried steaming directly in the Japanese steamer yet. I'll experiment with steaming meats and fish directly and share the results in a future video. Thanks for watching! 😊

Thank you for your reply. Also want to add that I love your idea of freezing the assorted vegetables. It helps me especially since I normally only cook for 1-2 pax and am hesitant to buy an assortment of vegetables as they end up spoiling. Thank you for the wonderful suggestion. Much love from Singapore =) @@cookingJapan
