Agreed. Repetition is key, that’s why Anki works.

I'm obsessed with Japan's music scene. I want to understand lyrics and interviews with my favorite idols and Japanese rock stars. This was a very motivating video thank you.

Even after 2 years of study I still look for way to improve my study routine. This manga method might be a good way to start year 3. When you said those Japanese saying “一石二鳥” and “継続は力なり”. I was like I know those. Haha. So that’s why I like this one too “雨垂れ石を穿つ” (constant raindrops eventually pierce rocks).
@-LightSmit2 ай бұрын
Great! Actually “雨降って地固まる” is my favorite, that “after the rain the soil hardens”. Best with your studies. I also recommend watching this to show that it’s more about persistence than study method later on: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJCUe6V5ediVd6ssi=qPV_-7k7LfuuplUX Best :) Light

It's been very difficult learning Japanese for me at the moment. Working 2 jobs plus other obligations doesn't leave me a whole lot of time to learn. Nevertheless, I'll persevere. PS. Taking the N5 next month and I have no confidence I'll pass lol

I'm learning Japanese From Zero books. I'm at book 4 and I think it's a bit slow, but it's enjoyable and not tiring at all. Have you given it a go? It has KZbin videos that go alongside with it and overall you can spend a good 30 mins or so daily on them without tiring yourself after work or before work (or school or other daily matters). I think it's good to do books like JFZ alongside manga
@-LightSmit2 ай бұрын
Oh the JFZ books from George. The pace is slower than most others I’m familiar with and I do recommend it to absolute beginners, if you’re into textbooks. 👍 I like that guy

I have some 20+ videos coming in this format so I’d like to get some props and things to showcase, and your donations help so much. Talking about sleep, very busy with projects and the next Playnese RPG update, so haven’t slept and it’s already 6:24am. 😴 Life is too fun to snooze 🛌 Best and chat soon :)

My ma is Afrikaans ook 😂 so ek is half Afrikaans! But the more I study Japanese the more it seems to be displacing my Afrikaans (to my horror) 😅 I don't know how I only found your channel today, but I am very glad to have done so! Thank you for the encouragement 🙏

Lekker man! My Afrikaans is degrading too, I think. 😔 But the accent helps for Japanese. Nice to have you here! Many videos coming soon, and thanks for the message.

insanely bad advice telling someone to essentily go sentence mine first thing is crazy before they even learned the first 1k or 2k words
@-LightSmit2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. Not sure which exact part you refer to in the video as I won’t rewatch it. My goal is to share a fun approach to learning Japanese that might feel less intimidating. I see where you’re coming from on starting with vocabulary, learning those core words is essential. My focus is more on enjoying the language from the start, but I’ll keep your advice in mind for future content. Appreciate your input! L Edit: Let us know how you learn those 1k-2k words. We’re all here to learn 👍
