This is the mortise and tenon structure invented by our Chinese. The earliest record of these structures appears in The Kaogong Ji Tu in the Rites of Zhou. Later books on architectural engineering, such as Luoyang Jialan Ji, Wood Classic, Zaofa Fa and Tiangong Kaiwu, have inherited this structural characteristic. It wasn't invented by the Japanese.

@@减肥中的肥兔子無駄なプライドだな。それが中国人のダメな所だ。伝統文化は豪華絢爛さを競うものではない。日本には世界最古の木造建築が残っており、なおかつ未だにこの技法を有する木工職人がいる。例えば彼ら職人がつくる家具は江戸指物と呼ばれ、これは伝統として受け継がれている。繰り返すが、誰が最初に発明したかは重要じゃない。未だに技法を残し後世に伝える職人がいること。それが重要だ。だからこそ、技術を発明した古代の中国人ではなく、今もなお技術を伝承している日本人の方が有名になっている。
