I agree with 164 as being the next level. If we get there quickly the yen would also be massively oversold and would be a good entry point to buy the yen for a trade. Ideally I would like to see US rates to go higher for a couple of days and not see the yen selloff as a possible reversal indicator.

I guess intervention rarely happens in serious circumstances only, just like the 1985 Plaza Accord which intended to weaken the supercharged US dollar.
