My bf and I often watch anime in Japanese (with subtitle on). We can read some of the words in Hiragana/Katakana in the video and somehow can translate some of it (as it appears a lot in anime), however we could not use the grammar correctly. This video helps me learn a lot, thank you a lot for this!!.

The particles are so tricky for me! I love all the vocabulary quizzes, but these grammar quizzes are good too. Forces me to read faster and tell to gather context!

For sentence 2 you could even use: 私はアメリカ出身でした But you used a verb in the sentence because of the ます

omg even though it's still so complicated, at least I remember some characters and read some hiragana. Before, when I saw the characters I was like, this can no way be a legit language, you must be Einstein to figure it out, but no, slowly very slowly it's starting to become clearer. I just started learning hiragana, and by the time I'm 50, hopefully I'll be fluent in japanese, I'm 24 😂😂
