The food they prepared looks way more delicious than any of the 'Japanese' restaurants in my area (southern california, USA)
@abckenshin3825Күн бұрын
That's because the food in Japanese restaurants in America is not cooked by real Japanese people. Most of the people there are Korean, Chinese, or Vietnamese, and they didn't even learn to cook in Japan. They just serve random food and pretend to be Japanese. They serve nasty imitations and lower the image of Japanese food. There are especially a lot of Koreans pretending to be Japanese in California.

The reason there are two types of uniforms is that this school is a combined middle and high school, and middle and high school students use the same shared spaces.

This is a mission school established in 1916 by a missionary of the Southern Baptist Convention, hardly a typical Japanese high school with this level of preparedness to accept foreign students. This young Dane seems to have chosen a very good school for his education and career.
I want to see more content about foreigners living or studying in Japan

The overpriced slop that my high school cafeteria pumped out was an embarrassment! This Japanese cafeteria is amazing, and the workers are professional craftsmen and women -seeing this makes me wish that USA workers could learn to be more diligent in their chosen occupation.
in japan that is just common well done food. But in most countries that is fancy fine dining made from scratch food, made to pay heavily by the customer cause of severe effort done in the kitchen.

That's because the school food is supplied by greedy companies In the us, when companies create these "school lunches" they don't have taste in mind - they just need the FDA to greenlight their product for juvenile consumption, they don't care if it's inedible because regardless the school is paying them for their services. The result is a school lunch that consist of low quality fish sticks, colorless beef patties, and cardboard burger buns - with days old milk.

@@Smell-sama we had pizza a few times but they served it hot to us but no it was definitely not fresh and was more like a Tostino pizza roll flavor… but we had we had homemade rolls, cinnamon rolls, hot sweet rice in am, chicken strips and etc… no gourmet meals but they weren’t what they serve now plus I went to a very small school…
