This time we maintained a garden with a river. Sano created this garden that has a mountainous atmosphere in the city of Kyoto. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the sound of water in this garden.

This garden maintenance video was a great opportunity to revisit your completed and matured artwork! While freshly done gardens are lovely, they are only a hint of the beauty yet to be seen. Thanks for this update. Japanese Gardening is truly an art form unto itself. Thanks for sharing it so beautifully with the rest of the world. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Most western style gardens strive for thick plantings especially at ground level. When the video started I thought the fullness in the maple tree was ok to my eye. However as it started to open up by skilled pruning it became obvious that that was exactly what was needed to maintain the feel of the garden. Wonderful! (sorry for so much English!) ❤️🇦🇺❤️

Thanks for the nice comments! In Japan we have a culture of creating beauty by reducing the leaves and branches of trees like this!

Would also like to see demonstrations of branch positioning techniques and methods, reasoning behind each position. It’s far deeper than we imagine. Artistry at its deepest level.

A very lovely video, well produced and the music choice was perfect. It was very helpful to see a garden that has had a chance to mature a few years after installation, I have a hard time visualizing how plants will fill in spaces as they grow. I hope you continue to make maintenance videos.

Lots of new things to learn. The plants is so sparse and very well thought and naturally pruned. At my place and climate the plants will grow forestlike within a month. And the way they clean the 'river'... they clean it but not too clean to maintain the natural feeling of it!
