Welcome to an walking tour at the DoKomi 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany, filmed in stunning 4K HDR! DoKomi is Germany's biggest and most anticipated event in the anime, manga and everything about Japan community with more than 75.000 visitors annually. Each year, thousands of fans flock to Düsseldorf to experience this extraordinary event, which seamlessly blends Japanese pop culture with German enthusiasm. Boa ich freu mich im Kreis auf die diesjähirge Dokomi! Tolles Video. Ich hab mal 2 Fragen zum allgemeinen Besuch, vielleicht kann mir die einer von euch Lieben beantworten: -Gibt es Vorort eine Möglichkeit Schließfächer zu buchen wo man z.B. Rucksack etc. verstauen darf? Ich weiss das die Messehallen diese zwar generell haben sollte, aber nicht ob diese während der Dokomi zur Verfügung stehen... -Darf man zwischendurch das Gelände verlassen (um z.B. kurz zum Auto zu gehen) und dannach wieder reinkommen mit dem Ticket?

Sieht nicht schlecht aus, als Deutscher muss ich allerdings sagen, dass ich kein als zu guten Draht zur deutschen Anime Community habe, weshalb ich auch grundlegend kein Bedarf habe, mich dort hin zu begeben, auch wenn es natürlich toll ist das Video so zu sehen (danke dafür). Naja gut und halt der Punkt, dass ich mit Menschenmassen generell nicht viel anfangen kann, Jahrmarkt und Flohmärkte waren damals schon eine Tortur für mich, wo ich am liebsten eine Schneise vor mir geschlagen hätte. :P Mittlerweile muss ich aber auch eingestehen, über die Jahre ist mir die Lust an Anime mehr und mehr vergangen, zumindest an neuen, ich habe meine paar Anime, die ich zu meiner Hoch-Zeit geguckt und gefeiert habe. Mich hat mittlerweile eher die japanische Kultur, Küche und Architektur gepackt (gerade was Minimalismus angeht).

There is also concerts, live shows and other things to do, plus you get to meet up with a lot nice people. Even some friends you don't see for a long time. You clearly have never been to an anime convention. The atmosphere is so great there.

Live shows, concerts and honour guests seem reasonable for an entry fee, but that wasn't shown to me. Now I know more.

I am Japanese and I sometimes listen to K-Pop, eat sometimes Korean barbecue and occasionally watch Korean TV dramas, I’m not speaking for every Japanese person but please stop to stereotype us that we all dislike everything Korea. Also the amount of K-POP in this event was less than a fraction of the total event, there is no „parasitation“ going on where 30-50% of the event is showing Korean cultural things. If you dislike Korean culture that’s absolutely fine. And by the way „Food is an important part of cultural heritage and national identity“ and German food, Turkish food and French fries were much more present in this event than K-Pop, maybe 10x than K-Pop. My title of the video does not say „only Japanese event“ and it’s still Germanys largest event for Japanese culture. There is no exclusively Japanese event in Germany. Please read the title correctly and inform yourself better. Have a good day.
