DoKomi is not just a convention but a hub for talented artists and illustrators who display and sell their unique creations. From traditional manga-style illustrations to contemporary digital art, visitors can explore a wide range of creative styles and find one-of-a-kind pieces to add to their collections.
Beyond the convention, DoKomi leverages its location in Düsseldorf to offer attendees a taste of Japanese culture. The city’s dining scene, particularly in the Little Tokyo area along Immermannstraße, offers a wide range of Japanese delights such as ramen and sushi for visitors to enjoy.
A unique feature of DoKomi is the nearby Nordpark, a picturesque location where many cosplayers gather to take stunning photos. Then better not come to such kind of events or even Japan Tag. At DoKomi or even at Japan Tag there are countless Twitch live streamers walking around everywhere, filming / live streaming themselves and the whole surroundings non-stop for the whole day. You’ll definitely end up in one of their streams, which are getting millions of views and are accessible even after the live streaming ends. No matter what. Unless you wear a full body cover, cosplay suit.

Sowas läuft rum aber seit dem Vorfall 2022 kein Tokyo Revengers cosplay mehr gesehen wegen dem Manji auf dem Mantel, da hat der doch echt ne Anzeige kassiert und Hausverbot dort bekommen, armes Deutschland vor allem die beiden Polizisten total ignorant und haben behauptet es würde sich um ein verbotenes symbol handeln was nicht stimmt.

Eine tolle Bildqualität und gute Kameraführung! Tolles Konzept und total schön das du (ihr?) ein bisschen das Gefühl vermitteln möchtet man wäre selbst auf der Con ✨🫶🏻 Leider ist mir aufgefallen das hin und wieder Cosplayer und auch andere Menschen, sich sichtlich unwohl fühlen gefilmt zu werden, man echt unvorteilhafte Aufnamen von ihnen sieht (Ausschnitte/Pause machend etc.) und auch Artists denen man im Gesicht ansieht, dass sie das nicht gut finden. Mag sein das ich mich täusche und sicher ist das auch deswegen nicht gleich alles schlecht! Trotzdem wäre das bare Minimum an der Stelle, wenigstens die Gesichter zu zensieren oder entsprechende Stellen zu cutten.. Bitte nehmt das als konstruktive Kritik an und versucht beim nächsten mal daran zu denken. Liebe Grüße, von einem Menschen der auch ungerne ungefragt gefilmt wird. 🫶🏻❤️

Really? Wenn du die Person bist an die ich mich erinnere wurdest du sogar von Freunden von mir darauf angesprochen das du das nicht darfst und den Cuts nach zu urteilen wurde dort auch einiges rausgeschmissen was Hinweise anderer Leute sein könnten. Und die Security?? Was macht die? Es scheint ja nicht schwer gewesen zu sein zu sehen das du gefilmt hast den Blicken nach zu urteilen also warum lässt die Security dich einfach rein? Like wtf.
