The word for headache itself is, "Zutsuu" (ずつう/頭痛) So if you were to say, I had a headache yesterday, you would say, "Kinou Zutsuu de..." The most correct way to say this would probably be, "Kinou Zutsuu ga shite..." or "Kinou Zutsuu ni inamarete shimatte..." But, "Kinou Zutsuu de" would suffice.

Great idea with summing up all the vocab pieces from the lesson at the end! Waku Waku gets better and better!

I enjoyed this lesson. Erin in other lessons was a bit "overbearing" but this is much more tame and easy to learn.

Hey! I'm not Japanese but I can speak Japanese okay but the difference between だ (da)and です(desu) is that です is the polite counterpart of だ

私は頭が痛いです。 Usually in Japanese, the subject, Watashi, is omitted from the sentence if it could be obviously inferred that one is talking about oneself.

EXCELLENT ! Great teacher!!! As a medical professional I would love more videos on this topic please. (i.e. how to say diarrhea, itchy, blood, veins, injection, medicine etc. etc.:) I know basic body parts.

Wow, this is ironic for me to find. Just yesterday, my brother and I watched a movie in which an American man was in Japan, and he needed a taxi, so he asked a Japanese lady whom he was talking to on the phone, how to ask someone to call a taxi for him...

I like the videos, I was beginning to learn Tuesday starting with video 1. I'm learning quickly but some of the videos go too fast and I can not understand them fully. Can you make your videos like the first sensei who kept repeating the phrases and words? I like to practice and speak each word many times until I can say them without thinking.

To Erin san, if you ever read this, You are amazing at your job and don't let views, reviews, ratings, and negative comments ever deter you. Today's society doesn't even accept perfect as good enough, so you can never win the haters. However I'm 100% sure you will be successful in life! If not with money then definitely with friends, family and life! Never for one second doubt your talent and ability. Ganbatte Erin san!

読んで means reading instead say 電話して. They Made a Huge Typo here. You would want to say きゅうきゅうしゃを電話して下さい.

How confusing. I thought she was a native speaker. 電話して is what I would've guessed, too..
@Marutsero
@Marutsero 10 жыл бұрын
Korey, you should stop giving advices about Japanese to another people. Erin is native, and she used it correctly. So, you would not want to say 救急車を電話してください. *を電話する is not Japanese! Plus, there is no 読んで in the whole video. Have no idea where did Kendra get that from. 救急車を呼んで(よんで)ください - is correct
@korey2996
@korey2996 10 жыл бұрын
Kendra Carlson Marutsero 電話する Is a する verb. It means (to call.) 呼ぶ this verb means (To Call) So... They are both used frequently. And を電話する is Japanese. Ask any native speaker about this and 100% That this is used in Japan. And How long have you been studying Japanese? I would like to know.
@Marutsero
@Marutsero 10 жыл бұрын
Korey Wehner They are both used frequently, okay - so what???! This has nothing to do with frequency! 電話する is never used in situation described in the video. I don`t need to ask native speaker, because you just can`t use を in front of 電話する - that is not JAPANESE + it makes no sense!!! (Nounを電話で案内する is possible) Long enough to know that you can`t speak it!

That isnt completly right, in informal japanese (like when you are in pain) .You just say atama ga itai. Also the informal desu is Da, and you can ask adding "ka" or "noka" without the desu or da.

Literally just means bad feeling. So you can use it to say you have a bad feeling about anything, whether it be your wellbeing or another person.
