Lovely idea, in fact I remember posting the same thing last January having recently returned from Japan but not having instagram cos I’m very much old before my time when it comes to social media! I was in Japan back in March , it was a 16 hours layover 😅 still it was my returned after 32 years ❤

Hi Amy. Happy New Year to you and Phil. I can't wait to go back to Japan next year. I'm thinking of going to Fukuoka and ride the Shinkansen to Tokyo stopping here and there along the route. I have a Band-Maid concert waiting for me at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo on The Day of Maid, May 10th 🙂

I can highly recommend Fukuoka, its one of my favorite places in Japan. Nanzoin temple about 25 minutes by train outside of Fukuoka/Hakata, is absolutely wonderful, with a giant lying buddha statue and beautiful & very peaceful temple grounds. Canal City, a shopping mall in the centre of Hakata, is also pretty cool, as there are many quircky shops there, and there is a water and music show every 30 minutes. If you are not a vegetarian, tonkotsu ramen is very much recommended.
