Japji Journey, MuSINGH 5, Dya Singh & daughter discourse on Japji Sahib, an overview and explanation
Jap Ji Sahib or just 'Jap' after the Mool Mantra is the primordial prayer for all those professing the Sikh faith, to recite at dawn as the fundamental spiritual discipline or exercise, to set one up for a productive and fulfilling day.
It is the essence of life as a spiritual being on a human journey narrated by founder Baba Nanak, inspired by the 'source of all reality, Waheguru.
It is the first primordial prayer piece - the first 8 pages, of the Guru Granth Sahib. It is the daily 'Guru Darshan', dialogue with Guru Ji.
This is not a profound interpretation of Jap, but more about the joy and significance of reciting (or listening) to it - to find a deeper spiritual meaning to the routine to help improve one and find success and fulfilment as a human being.
