Every game that Jared Goff plays reminds me of only one game that Matt Stafford played as a Detroit Lions. Watch the Lions game against Miami on Oct 21, 2018. Stafford stopped his "Superman QB act" and Stafford methodically, systematically, managed the offense, over and over and over. Stafford was just a part of the machine. And, during that game against Miami the Lions, not Stafford, as a well-oiled football team was "in the zone." But after that one game against Miami Stafford returned to his Superman QB act, throwing rockets over his shoulder and between his legs while looking at the score board. However, Jared Goff is just a part of the machine, working in unison with his skilled-position players to execute the offensive game plan, methodically, and systematically, over and over and over. Jared Goff doesn't play Superman QB. Jared Goff is merely "part of the machine."

If Stafford was such a “Superman” QB with Calvin Johnson then how come Goff is the only QB in Lions history to have 3 straight seasons of having 25 or more TD passes? Right now Goff is in the top 3 or top 5 in all the major passing categories while still in contention for the 1 seed. All the other QBs who are in MVP contention cannot say the same.
