I don’t want to just assume it’s Maz cuz he’s a bigger guy but whoever it was needs to mute their mic when they’re not talking. Dan is always a great interview but the constant breathing into the mic made this incredibly tough to listen to. Love the show guys so not trying to be negative. Just trying to help.

You can't play 3rd down the same if you think theyre going on 4th. You can't play a punt/fg the same if you think its going to be a fake. You can't 100% stay on sides during an obvious attempt to draw you offside if you think they'll actually hike the ball. You can't play a handoff, or completion the same if you think its going to be a hook & ladder or a flea flicker.... all the trick plays and the 4th downs have a next level advantage and no one talks about it

This team can beat anyone. Think of the losses they gotten - Tampa, where they had 500 yds of offense and 7 red zone trips and they lost by 4 and Buffalo, who got up big early and it was tough to overcome (they lost by 6) but that game was still one recovered onside from being a win for Detroit. No losses by more than a possession, one of only a few teams EVER to get 15 wins in a season, over 560 points scored, multiple 50 burgers... There's hardly any team that can hang.

In my lifetime I have seen this type of team build a couple times. The first time was in the late 80's with the Bad Boys Pistons. Piece by Piece and getting better with every game, every year. Add good pieces in the draft and free agency. Get over the road bumps. Lead to championships, multiple championships. Next time was the mid 2000 Detroit Tigers. Start the process with big name signing with Pudge and Brown. Add great drafted players. Etc, etc, etc...... This Lions team is the next one. Never a guarantee that they are going to the Superbowl or even win it but there is no doubt that this is going to be a ride that is going to last at least a couple of seasons.

I get Miller knows what he’s saying because of his long term experience, I agree with his opinions of players, the way he talks on the lions, but I don’t understand the hype around Dan miller. I just think for this particular game he assumed it was the “bad day” for the Vikings. In a way, it was but, we have players who put in work and we got Anzalone back, this wasn’t just a bad day for the Vikings or a good day for the lions. We knew this day was important and we went hard and we are a GOOD team. And we bring it forward when it matters. The score doesn’t show it just being a “bad day” for the Vikings QB. is Jefferson their only sneaky runner? They had interceptions and it didn’t save them. The lions fight regardless of a turn around
