Lions don't play down to an inferior opponent , they are pulling starters in the 4th quarter but they can't make opposing defenses plays for them . They are going to keep playing even with a mix of 2nd stringers and starting players . They did send a message to Dallas though , they got their justice from last year and Dak shooting his mouth off that game week before the game .

That 07 Patriot team did that in a NON PASS friendly (Hit the QB) era which makes that more remarkable. The next year Brady was taken out with a low hit in week 1 and that took out Brady for the season. They went for 50 TD's passing in 07 to 23 TD's passing in 08 and missed the playoffs which really tells you how valuable Brady was
