You've come too far to give up now, you can do it! *Also, keep an eye on your B12 because it can bottom out before you know it and suck all of your energy dry. My two favorite quotes: “I didn’t want to be fat, but I didn’t fight against it because I knew it would require a change in lifestyle” “I wish I knew what finally clicked in my brain because then I could tell others how to change their mindset as well” I am 15 years old, and at my highest weight I was 272 pounds, but on July 26, 2020, I decided to make a change. I downloaded the app called my fitness pal, and I’ve been keeping track of my food. It’s helped me a lot and now I’m in the 250s. I’ve still got a long journey to but it’ll be worth it in the end. Wish me luck. Update: as of September 27, 2020 i have lost 15 pounds. I have much more to go but I’ve hit a small milestone and I’m proud of it😁 thank you all so much for the support! Update 2: as of October 18, I just hit about the 20 lb Mark. Thanks again for all of your support. Update 3: it’s the end of February, and I keep going back and fourth between 236 and 243, for those who have been asking Update 4: it’s the end of June and I’m now at 225! Final Update: It’s been two years. I’m at 190 and my life has completely changed. I feel so much better about myself now, I feel like I’ve gotten everything I’ve wanted, people started looking at me more and admiring me more. I never thought I could do this, especially at this point in my life, and if I can do it, I know you can too. I never thought I could, but I proved myself wrong. For those who are struggling, fight the battle, keep pushing, and you will eventually reach the goal, and it will feel amazing. Every single person that has gone through a weight loss journey felt like they couldn’t do it and never succeeded, but they proved everyone and themselves wrong, I know you can do that too.

you can! I have lived my life on the opposite side with hypermetabolism. Incredibly thin and very unhappy with my appearance and seriously lacked confidence. Always unhappy that no matter what shirt size I bought, it would just hang off me and I had to buy the thinnest waste and belts i could find. Sometimes in my thirties, I was still having to look for pants in the youth sections, luckily I'm short too. who could find such a tiny waist and be adult height? Never eating much gave me low energy, that I overcame with too much coffee. but then never had the energy to work out. work and school began to suffer and I all i did was stay in bed or on the couch. People would tease me that I looked terminally ill. Not to make light of what it might feel like socially to be heavy but I believe one thing unique to being too thin is that society doesn't have a problem teasing you about it, especially if you're male. People think being called "scrawny" isn't the same as being called fat. Both are a gut punch. One day about a year ago, I started watching the DPD videos and felt myself reaching the point spiritually that many of you seem to start in. I came to the simple realization through these stories that there is a choice, that my happiness is out there if i just decide to take it. So I started with forcing myself to eat more than just one or two slices of pieces of pizza a day. Diets were planned and well balanced. At first it was pretty hard to make myself eat beyond just small amounts, i just wasn't used to spending time with food. But the more i made myself eat, I started to notice my mood improving and my energy. then came a simple pull up push up routine. at first just a few seconds hanging and one to two push ups on my knees. After awhile the push ups got to 10+ off my knees and the hang turned into an half pull up, then one day all of a sudden, I was doing one. That was the biggest day of this journey I think, watching that bar from from over my head, past my eye level to under my chin. I started at 112 pounds (I'm 5 8). Today my routine is 12-15 L sit pull ups each morning and just before bed. I still can't commit to a gym, one I had to realize that I'm not everyone else and whatever workout I do is what I do and that's OK, putting pressure on yourself to do exactly X workout every day and no less is just not something I think works for everyone. Because it makes you feel like a failure when you do anything less. I also still haven't gotten over the fear of working out around other people. I probably could do it now but the intimidation factor may never go away at this point. But I'm around 155 and I look at myself in the mirror in awe of the handsome fella staring back at me. At 35, I not only feel more energized and confident than ever, I sometimes have a hard time believing this look is possible for me. You. Can.Do.This.To!

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENETH ME" !!! YOU can do it too with the Lord working and walking with you . i hope you see this ---! If you want to do a REALLY helpful thing for yourself .......go online or to your bookstore ......order / buy a small handbook ( paperback Very cheap) called TWELVE STEPS FOR OVER EATERS .....by > Elisabeth L. I used to be really fat. I had 390lbs in September last year, and when I saw that number it was way more than I thought it is. I was really mad at myself. It really hit me hard, and I realised I got to do something. Not just sit and wait for problem to resolve itself. It was a life changing decision, because I have probably been on the verge of developing some serious health condition... So at first I got my diet plan created on a website called Dietarize, which was super helpful to me. In the first two months of following my eating plan I lost 45 lbs. And by February of this year another 40, for the total of 85lbs in 5 months... After that I started slowly exercising. First just by walking, and eventually I joined a gym and now I go five days a week, still walking on the weekends. I realised that I am stronger than I ever thought I have been. Never had any confidence, and now I can run, do burpees, do push-ups... I take these small victories!!

I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. I've been underweight my entire life and I always try to bring myself up by putting others down. Those who were fat. Not a day goes by where I don't regret making fun of a fat kid just because of how insecure I was about my own weight. I don't care if you're going to rip me a new one in the comments. I just want people, specifically those trying to overcome a health issue, to never give up. Never. There will always be people like me who try to bring you down and make you hit rock bottom. You can never believe anything anyone says because the only person who can change who you are is you. And for those who acted like me in the past.. Stop. There are far better ways for dealing with your insecurities than dragging other people down with you. We're all in this together and everyone's going through something. I wish anyone who's going on a journey to improve themselves the best of luck. Overcome obstacles. Never give up no matter what anyone says.
@awesomeawesome38478 жыл бұрын
Damn man, it takes a lot of balls to reflect and accept the bad things you have done in the past. It's always the first step to improving yourself though, good on you the world needs more people like you. Best of luck with your underweight problems if they still persist.

Good for you, this is so inspiring! I especially liked when you said, "I wish I knew what finally clicked in my brain because then I could tell others how to change their mindset as well” That's EXACTLY what happened when I quit smoking last September (after 42 years and many failed attempts). Probably, overeating is also a kind of addiction, to sugar or the undeniable pleasure of eating , or maybe it´s some way to compensate for other deficts in ones' life. I am so glad you were able to conquer it and wish you all the best for a happy and healthy future!

Take it a day at a time ,is the correct way to asses weight loss i weighed 325 and was 50 years old, i didnt think i could lose the weight because i had tried numerous diet plans and failed i found a way of earing rhar worked for me and i lost 100 pounds or a little over,i now weigh between 215 and 220 and ive kept the weight off for about two years ,i do intermitted fasting and i eat healthy whole foods and lots of protein, its worked for me ,but we are all built different, whatever works for you stick to it,if the weight loss stalls ,try another protocol,if you slip up ,who cares you can pick up where you left off,i still have those days where i do binge eat,i dont beat myself up or feel guilty ,i start over again,the worst diet is the one that we stop doing,keep up the good work.
