Wendy's Journey to Forgive Herself and Lose 150 lbs Will Inspire You

For many years Wendy blamed herself for the abuse she received as a child and the tragic loss of her boyfriend's life... she had every reason to give up. Watching Jake the Snake Roberts (her childhood hero) turn his life around gave her the glimmer of hope that maybe she could also overcome the lifelong trauma she experienced.

Right?? Because what we went through on those turbulent times, especially in our youth, pain and suffering became familiar, and familiar is comfortable. We would seek out things that would only feed our suffering (for me, it was food) but I abused it so I could hopefully feel something. I don't know your story and you don't know mine, but I'm proud of us both. We are f-king warriors. ❤

Feeling bad really sucks and it destroys you mentally - but like you said, it's when you start to feel nothing... that's when things get really worrisome. Feeling bad means there's still some fire left - it's when that fire burns out that people often let themselves wither and slowly die or speed the process up with suicide.

Wendy's story is so inspirational. I am at rock bottom with my weight and my health. I am 61 years old, and I'm 60lbs overweight. I have become sedentary over the last year because of pain in my hip. I got a total hip replacement in October. I now have zero pain. I also can not use that as an excuse anymore. I have fallen into a deep depression. I needed to see this today.

Wendy, yesterday I had a binge day. 6 brownies from the in house bakery at the grocery store. I thought of you slapping the snack packages. Instead of giving up, I told myself it's a one day setback.
