Let’s not forget when Mobley & Garland were both injured and Spida & Jarrett Allen led the Cavs to go 9-2 in January before they came back. Jarrett Allen averaged about 17, 13, 4, 1, 2 in those 11 games
@Smido832 ай бұрын
And thats the problem the Cavs have. They are great with either Allen or Mobley. But together those 2 just do not click, cause neither can shoot the 3 efficiently.
@vism28123 ай бұрын
when the cavs traded for jarrett allen, i thought i knew his ceiling. great defence and elite finishing. then he made an all star game, and he raised that ceiling. he was decisive in the post, showed extremely nice touch on tough hooks/floaters, made nice reads as a passer. clearly more than the deandre jordan archetype. which is why it was so crazy to see him raise that ceiling one more time this year. when garland and mobley went down, he was a genuine hub. 20-15 was guaranteed every night, and he’d always sprinkle in 4-6 assists. he reached another level when it came to dribble handoffs, constantly squeezed the ball through tight windows, and stopped making the obvious reads in the short roll. he was sabonis on offence and gobert on defence for 2 months. his mid ranges started falling like crazy. he’s 26, the prime years havent truly started yet. this is gonna become the new prototypical rim running big

Allen and Mobley, and Luke Travers is a trifecta of serious switchy defensive abilities that could offset the small backcourt, throw in Craig Porter for DG injuries and that a super block party! And Mitchell being the star scorer with a pass heavy offense. The transition game will be bonkers LT being an super solid grab and go point forward along with Mobley’s great ability .. love to see Allen take more 3’s, he can shoot, hopefully it’ll get added under Kenny and he still practices. A couple from the corner a night with a Mobley making more 3’s really think It’’d add a dynamic to make us more dangerous

Trust me I know how good Jarrett is and I actually give him slightly more credit than u do for how switchable he is, but if we’re gonna look at 30 mill and not think he’s at least 4-5 mill overpaid than I don’t know what to think. I think a perfect tag for him is 25 mill. It’s not egregious for him to get 30 mill but it is a slight over pay.
