Hi Jaru Good to see you back on trail, you make such good videos reflecting the reality of the hike. Couple of things, (from the earlier videos) Without a border you don't have a country, a settlement. I live close to neolithic settlements in England with extensive ditches and earthworks, they understood this 5000 years ago. If you cannot protect and mark out what you build, create and raise, people won't bother. Becoming a global nomadic society is regressive. Seeing those Jets as you trudge along working hard to accomplish your goals , you must have though at some point "I've gotta get me one of those".

Wow! I love the scenery, its amazing how different it is compared to the east coast and I love the east coast, i just enjoy the difference. Lol...i can hear the Top Gun soundtrack when i see those jets. Thank you so much for taking us all along with you, its fun watching everything your experiencing!

There is a hike I like along the sea. Takes 10-12 hours. Through incredibly wild and rugged nature. Sometimes you get a bit bored as you struggle along but then there is a boat in the sea. You stop and stare at it, trying to guess who is in it, what they are going to do, what beach they'll stop at and so on. This game is called "sometimes there is a boat". The way you film planes in your videos I imagine you are playing "sometimes there is a plane". I absolutely love the book "Born to run"! ( I even bought the book that guy who were in Africa studying the hunting methods there wrote. Have not had time to read it yet though.) I so wish I could run again! I used to run like it is described in the book. I used to run everywhere rather than walk. I love hiking even though I can hardly do it and am so slow. I wish I could run again so I could get far into remote wilderness which is now inaccesible to me. Fantastic plants in the desert! Such crazy shapes. Ha ha the shade coming up! I like starting before sunrise, then the sun comes up and parts of the landscape become lit. I'm still in the shade and I think "pocket of night". I imagine I'm a vampire. Have to go as far as I can in the pockets of night. Eventually the sun touches me. Game over. I turn to dust. The very best of luck to you!

If you happen to read this Try to sprinkle the seasoning on top of the top ramen and eat it raw. My kids did it all the time and it's pretty good I tried it. A lot better then soaking it in creek water. 😂

I'm not sure where you're at but if you remember me vaguely mentioning Roadrunner, in her videos they're just hitting a reroute her tramily member is making and updating as they go through it to bypass the fires. 110 mile I believe. She's posting where they're finding water and helpful people and I believe she's making the info available. Not 100% if she's linking it on her channel "Hikingdancer". Good luck!

@@JaruWalks The hikers ahead seem to have had to change their route several times when the fires have spread or new fires popped up. In the end people have failed with their continnuous foot path.
