I love your seam-jevil themed sprite, and think it would be perfect as the shiny pallet, given chapter 1 originally dropped on Halloween, for Jevil to have a spoopy orange and black sprite. 🎃

honestly if i imagine shinies in deltarune, i imagine them as buffed up enemies with slightly harder spare/fight conditions. i also imagine some slightly harder attacks, like hathy's support heart ring instead being noticably smaller.

I think there could be a couple other reasons for the Hathies to be swapped. 1. Humans are *generally* more powerful than monsters. 2. The *Head* Hathy being red can also double as a reference to the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, who is obsessed with cutting off people’s heads.

Honestly, for Clover, I would have gone with grey in reference to Homestuck's ashen quadrant. It probably wouldn't have seemed as edgy as the black, and since Toby Fox worked on Homestuck before Undertale, I think it works out nicely. (Alternatively, there's a Homestuck character named Clover with a green and purple color palette, but I'm not sure that would look as nice on her.)

Isn't part of the whole thing with the Dark Worlds that, unlike Undertale, they DO function on RPG rules? Other than the Weird Route, Deltarune doesn't really seem concerned about wether or not you grind, just that you'll miss some content if you end your encounters violently.

All of these shiny color palettes for standard enemies and bosses are phenomenal for multiple reasons. I will say that it would've been funny if shiny Jevil shared similar colors to Marx from the Kirby series, but referencing Spamton within shiny Jevil's colors works just as good.

This was an unexpected, but very, very welcome video idea! It made me want to see a mod that leans onto the Pokemon style a bit to let these new ideas shine (dumb pun intended). Also, near the end, I was literally just waiting for Jevil to get a banger shiny aswell, can't leave out everyones favorite jester! XD As the obsessed Spamvil freak I am, I of course expected Jevil's shiny to reference his rival/ possible ex- partner of some sort. And the concept of every secret boss making a ever-referencing cycle just topped this already awesome idea! I'd adore to see another video in this style for the chapter two enemies.

8:00 on that topic, then, what if the overworld ponmen had a rare chance to be white when you enter a room with them? On a slightly different note, I think it would've been neat to give the shiny bosses slightly different designs as well (For example, stuff like a small shape change or an accessory, maybe giving Jevil Spamton's glasses or something for example) on top of the color changes. It wouldn't fit regular enemies for obvious reasons, but for bosses I think it'd work pretty well.

Shiny Susie: He axe is always flaming with magic Shiny King: His cape is off Shiny Jevil: He is surrounded by a Diamond, Club, Spade, and Heart Shiny Sweet Cap'n K: They're all doing the torture dance Shiny Berdly: He's actually on Noelle's cart, which wasn't thrown off alongside Noelle. Shiny Queen: She's no longer on her chair. Shiny Spamton: Spamton but with the word shiny next to it. Checking him says it's a 1 in 1000 chance, when in reality, it's a 1/3 chance.

The pedantic Power Rangers fan in me needs to correct something: While Tommy (Green-turned-White Ranger) did eventually become the team leader, it wasn't until the follow-up series, where half the team was swapped out and the ones who got to stay had their colors changed. At that point Tommy became the Red Ranger, thus making him team leader. In other words, it is accurate to say "The Green Ranger would eventually become the White Ranger and take over as the leader of the Power Rangers" but it's very misleading. A more accurate version would be "The Green Ranger would eventually become the White Ranger, then eventually the third Red Ranger, at which point he would become the new leader of the Power Rangers."
