Now that I'm over 60 years old, the long hurdle distance is only 300m for us oldies and only 30" high. This has become my favorite event to do. Not quite as fast as the kids but I do race in open meets for the experience.

Can someone tell me why there are 8 flights of hurdles and not 7? Usually 7 flights in the 300. I thought the distances to the first hurdle and from the last one to the finish looked very short, and then realised there were 8 flights. Genuinely confused lol
