Orange is also a phone company, and Eno was obviously joking because Jarvis didn't mean them (or picked a different fruit and didn't recognise the connotation between that and phones, some dunces probably thought Eno was serious and tried to phone the 'Orange Oblique Strategies app' though). I guess that is also tantamount to the advertising that Jarvis was trying to avoid, but Eno can bloody well do what he likes ;-)

Some of them are just reiterations on things already said ("honor thy error as a hidden intention" is really just another way of saying there are no mistakes), but there are some gems in there for sure.

The cards are tasks the are not made by you intuitively, but they must be followed by you, its an instrument that it helps to get out of one perspective and explore another, could have anything on the card to tell the truth, that would have the same effect. it's not about If they're clichés or not.
