Chad Johnson has the mindset of a hall of fame corner. Seriously. And his footwork and smartness about footwork would have lead him to being a GREAT corner. Only thing he may have a problem with is getting his head around and false jumping routes. . Like trevon diggs and Gilmore sometimes. Both were former receivers too.

Good to see these young players getting with Chad in the offseason to improve their skill in the game working on route footwork such as Jamar Chase and Jarvis Landry. As a Steeler fan I was hoping that our own Chase Claypool would do this type of work because the guy has the potential to go from a good WR2 to a great or elite WR1 but he relies too much on his athletic ability alone currently. There's so much to be said about those players that work on the skill. That's how Jerry Rice and Antonio Brown both went from good to elite players. Sitting in a chair simulating running a route and doing one-hand catches from a catch machine does nothing to improve a WR's game. First, you're not moving so hand-eye coordination is not the same as moving at full speed and catching at the same time. Second, you're not getting the clumsiness or awkwardness out of your feet when making those precise route movements to get open. Sometimes your feet are too wide, your steps to make the cuts are off, or your balance and stick on those cuts is just off. Chase Claypool has great speed but is almost always covered because he doesn't have these skills. To break bad habit, you have to train often, earlier and harder. Nice work Jarvis! We could use you in Pittsburgh as a WR1.... Just saying...
